Frigidaire FTF2140ES0 front loading washer door will not lock

Door will not lock. Diagnostics either don't work or don't register a problem. Machine thinks it's in a wash cycle and waiting for the door to lock. I have already replaced the latch assembly but still won't lock. Thank you very much!

Check the part on the door that actuates the locking mechanism. It could be distorted or worn. Sometimes the lock assemblies need a tweeked adjustment. On the other hand if you don't hear a click, check the wiring.

The interlock is going, Ifr you want to repair Unplug machine. open door and remove just the front part of the door seal, theres probably a metal band around it. where the door catch closes you will see two screws, remove these keeping you other hand around the back, behind screws holding the plastic interlock, there will be three wires attached to this or a plug remove these, remembring where they go, and take the interlock to the local shop. they cost no more than 20 pound

SOURCE: GE front load washer WSXH208v1ww door latch

Unfortunately, the "door latch assembly" is what you would need. It comes with a new concrete front tub counter weight which is redesigned to not be able to contact the door latch switch on out of balance spins. It is also a lot of work to replace. (you can not get just the little plastic part) Please don't rate this solution, as anything but a Fix-Ya lowers my score, and I know you don't want to shoot the messenger.

I have a Frigidaire (ATF6000ES) Front Load Washer all lights come on and wont work.

Sounds like either the control board is faulty or the door latch sensor is not allowing the control board to communicate to the rest of the unit.

Frigidaire affinity door will not lock when door is closed or register door is not closed when open

Hi,
Make sure you are allowing the washer to completely finish its cycle before opening the door. It is normal for the door to lock at the end of a cycle. The locking mechanism keeps owners from opening the door before all of the water has been drained. If the door on the washer is locked, select the "Drain" or "Spin" options on the front-load washer. This will completely drain the water from the system and unlock the door, allowing you to open it.

My frigidaire washer FTF2140ES0 won't spin on the spin cycle

Hi there, the same thing is happening with our washer. Did you find a solution to the problem? We found a coin the the black tube, but it still doesn't do the final spin. I can hear the motor trying to do something, but it just won't do the final spin. If anyone has any idea or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I have a load of slopping wet laundry to deal with. :(

Bad odor

glisten and affreash is the cleaning agents
besides this only way to get smell out is a complete inner and outter tub job but also try leaving both soap dispenser and door open for the air to dry up and vent the washing machine

Washer not spinning

You're problem is probably the door latch assembly. This is a common problem on Frigidaire front load washers. You can find the part at your local appliance parts suppliers. If the door latch assembly is faulty, the washer will run through all of its normal cycles, but will not spin. Hope this fixes the problem for you.
