Printer won't release patper after printing

After printing or copying a page, printer makes loud noise and won't release the finished page. I need to open the lid and press ok. Then printer releases page and sounds like it is resetting itself. Very annoying to have to keep opening cover and pressing ok to finish fax, print or copy job.

Thanks for the help. Problem is not really one of a paper jam. Printed page is done and almost ejected. Maybe half of an inch remains in the printer and its that last piece that the printer doesn't let go of. If I open the top door, close it and press ok, the printer releases that last bit.

Print a self-test page from the unit to verify that it is working correctly. On the unit front panel, press Setup, press 1, and then press 5. CAUTION: Jammed paper must be removed using the rear access door with the power cord disconnected to avoid mechanical damage. Do not remove jammed paper from the front of the unit. Turn off the HP product and turn it around so the back of the unit faces you. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the all-in-one. The power cord must be disconnected to allow the paper feed rollers to turn freely. Locate and open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you. Figure 2: Removing the rear access door Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door. Click How to Buy on this page to order replacement parts. From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper. Remove the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the paper supply tray. Reinstall the rear access door. Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on. Ray

Go throught your printers settings again. Maybe a setting was changed and you forgot to change it back. In the printers software settings make sure it it set to letter and not A4 for example.

My Canon MG8120 all-in-one makes a loud noise when copying (not when printing). How do I fix it?

Dear
from the question I understand, the scanner move to right and during return it starts noise.

The problem with scanner assembly, It might be dust accumulated on gears, the scanner belt might have loose or the grips of the belt has worn out. Proper cleaning and lubricating the moving parts may overcome also if the belt worn out it has to be replaced.
In case of at home position it gives noise then the home position sensor may dirty/dusty, it has to be cleaned.

thanks.

How can i print multiple copies of the same document with 3 pages and have the printer staple the copies in the correct groups?

In the print driver you should have the option to collate, you need to make sure that that option is on, and when you go to send the print job, you need to make sure that you adjust the finishing options in the driver to tell it to staple.

HP LJ P2015DN making noise/squeaking

Hi,
As you mentioned that the printer makes loud grinding noise or squeaking when page comes out than i feel this is the noise coming out due to faulty fuser.
I want to be sure so please open the rear bin and try to print if still noise comes than i m sure it is fuser.
If there are smudges on the printed page or if some film coating is coming out with printed page than fuser roller are physically damage.
However in this case i assume fuser is faulty.
If there opening the rear bin noise goes off than top output rollers are faulty.

Thanks and Regards

Stalled printer cartridges

Sounds like an issue with the print carriage. When it's out of alignment and tries to print, it can make awful noises. HP.com has a web page that describes a number of troubleshooting steps when you have print carriage issues:

Carriage Jam Errors

There's also a related web page having to do with the noise coming from the printer:

Noisy Print Carriage

Hope this helps. Good luck.
