Yes, you should check other parts. The horizontal output transistor is more than likely shorted. Also the flyback could have gone bad. Some SONYs have problems with the horizontal driver transformer which is connected to the base circuit of the horizontal output transistor. If this little transformer has a loose solder connection, it will take out the horizontal output transistor. This may give you some insight as to where to look for your problem. Stargazer

Sony kv-2199xf. Why won't it power up?

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Kv-27exr10 wont turn on

Have someone open and check in power supply on left side as seen from rear the .1 ohm protect resistor and the two regulators near it, and check for short to ground on horizontal output on other side mounted on metal--read from center pin to ground.

This set starts with a bad connection on t401--horizontal drive transformer and escalates to output transistor, two regulators, protect resistor all being bad= about 25 dollars in parts.

let me know if questions.

check your horizontal transistor maybe it's shorted replace horizontal transistor or maybe the fusible fuses are open check for open resistors at the horizontal section of the circuit.

Blank screen but it has sound, when i turn on there is a horizontal line in the center of the screen, before it goes blank but still have sound, i already check all the resistor on both power supply and...

Your fly back, horizontal is in good condition but the possible fault is in the deflection coils or the deflection correction , pin correction section or the hirizontal width coils.
Please check them one by one as they are found along the sides of the flyback sections. check the continuity of the horizontal coils, it can also be a leak/burnt coils that can cause this problem.

You should check Pin-Amp stage for subject problem. Pin Amp is located at Horizontal area. Pin Out Transistor is suspected.

No Power

you need to isolate the failure.
first, measure the voltage (called B+ usually) on the biggest elec. capacitor in the power supply. This should be about 130-160 Vdc.
If this isn't here, then the problem is in the power input circuit.
If there, then the high-voltage supply is down. If the set is anywhere near 10 years old, then replace the flyback transformer and its transistor (H.O.T.) and go from there.
The worst case is that a power surge or something has killed the TV's brain chip and you'll have to do a board replacement.
Let me know.

No power.

Usually, in those Sony sets, a crack developes on a small transformer in the horizontal drive circuit, which causes the horizontal output transistor to short. This immediately shorts out the switching transistors in the power supply and blows the Sony 0.1 ohm resistor fuse. A shorted flyback (high voltage) transformer will also have the same result. The power supply does NOT need to be replaced. The parts should be replaced, the flyback checked and the board resoldered by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.

Sony KV-32S40

When the horizontal output (2SC4927) is shorted it means one of 2 things is wrong - the horizontal drive transformer has cracked solder joints or the flyback transformer is shorted inside. If the solder joints on the horizontal drive transformer (the small grey transformer connected to the base of the horizontal output transistor) are cracked then the set will play for a little while and then the parts you just replaced will again be destroyed. ALWAYS resolder the driver transformer when replacing the parts you mentioned! When I replace the parts you mention and I do not see any obvious cracks on the driver transformer then I unsolder the B+ pin of the flyback (labeled 135, for 135 volts) and put a 60 to 100 watt lightbulb (drop-light) in series with the flyback. This means that the 135 volts B+ goes through the lightbulb and then into the flyback, so the lightbulb acts as a current limiter to protect the horizontal output. When you turn the set on the bulb should glow no more than about half bright and you should hear the high voltage come up, but you should not see a picture. If you turn the set on and the bulb glows as bright as if it was plugged into the wall then you can bet that flyback is shorted and must be replaced.
