SONY FD Trinitron Malfunction
Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. How do i get on netflix
You would need to plug it into a computer or "smart" device. Many blue ray players have such capability and there are countless add on boxes, I use a sony n200 myself since it has composit out.

I have a sony triniton
hi, code 5 in sony tv is indicates of a weak screen,which is too expensive to replace.
some times it helps to lower the brightness of the screen.by adjusting the button on
the flay back, the part that connect with wire to the top of the screen.good luck!
