The system keeps asking for a Hot Water Cycle. I turn dial to perform hot water cycle and the motor runs but nothing happens. It asks me to set dial to "0" and starts all over again. System has not been used for several months.

If you are pushing the necessary buttons on your Frigidaire washer to perform a system clean and they are not working, it could be a possible issue within the control panel. I would recommend a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue, you can run a hot water wash cycle with a cup of bleach inside the tub to clean your appliance out as well. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If your washing machine will not fill, only hot or cold will fill or is slow tofill then read these tips. I have covered many of the things that can happen inthese tips...
Make sure both hot and cold water supplies are turned on. Select a cold wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get cold water? Now select a hot wash cycle and start the wash cycle, do you get hot water? If you only get cold water replace the hot water fill valve. If you only get hot water replace the cold water fill valve. If you get neither replace both fill valves.
My next step would be to open the unit up and be able to observe (safely) the timer/switch. There is a motor turning a cog wheel, that pushes and releases the electrical switches.
You want to witness the turn rate of this drum, or be able to see the motor output gears......then run the machine to the problem position and observe....
If the motor is NOT runing and the cog wheel is NOT turning, something is interrupting, perhaps a safety switch like the lid switch....
If the motor is running and the cog wheel is turning, you need more patience... Some designs reverse the motor and there is quite a number of degrees of that cog wheel that in needs to trun through, or they run the risk of damaging the motor, so a pause cycle...
Be sure that BOTH hot and cold water hoses are hooked up, on and flowing. Some machines stop waiting for cold water.
(This happens when hoses are reversed going into the machine, Dad gets large hot water bill, has fit, goes and turns off the hot water (which was hooked up to the cold water tap...) and a machine will need filling and wait forever with no water flowing into machine. Often you get a buzz of the water valve, while the machine waits.)
E70 Means that the Hot and Cold water lines are backwards. Switch the lines and cancel out the cycle. Turn the dial to drain and spin and pump all the water out of the unit. Then restart the cycle and it should be fine.
sounds like your heating element is not working prtoperly or you are not washing in very hot water stop washer in middle of cycle and open it if steam come out hot steam be careful keep face away when you open itif not hot that could be the problem,A appliance serviceman once told me if water is hot enough and end of wash and rinse cycle not to run the dry cyvcle just open dryer a few inches and let the steam out Run hot water over a plate or a pot and set it in the drain tray in your sink notice how fast it dries itself while draining in the tray very hot water in a dish washer dopes the same good luck with this problem I hope my advice helps you oh yes one more thing always run the hot water till it get hot before you turn your dishwasher on
