Water will not always drain completely from Dishwasher after the washing or rinsing cycles are complete. Dishwasher is about 6 years old. Drain line is clear and free. Dishwasher is pumping out between cycles, at least I can see the water going into the drain. What is the cure.
Thanks
Gary

It could be cause the water level switch.
The level switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Clear tube from any obstruction.
Good luck !

it needs service, so call for it.
lots can be wrong even partially clogged drain paths.
the washers have float valve to detect how much water is in the pan to drain, so clean or replace this valve.

clean,. these parts
ensure your dishwasher pump and drain hose are unobstructed. If your machine does not drain it will not refill with fresh rinse water and since it can't do that the cycle will never finish.
Many people don't completely rinse off food stuffs from their dishware, expecting the dishwasher to take care of it. To be honest, a dishwasher is more of a fine cleaning and disinfecting device than a pot scrubber. Because of this, grease, food debris, etc can clog the pump or drain line over time. be sure to use a good de-greasing agent regularly once the flow of water has been cleared (don't wash your dishes with it however)
If the cycle is complete and dishes are clean, then you need to worry. Try to pull the drain hose up a bit under the sink. Also buy a Finish dishwasher cleaning kit and run dishwasher as per instructions on the kit. That should clean any obsrtuctions in the drain side.
Mine has been doing the same thing for about 2 months now.. I tried Finnish brand diswasher cleaner, but to no avail. Try this:
1) Empty your dishwasher, then take out the lower rack.
2) Start a regular cycle. Wait until you hear the jets turning, then open the door. Make sure there is enough water in the bottom - It should be just UNDER the heating element.
3) If your dishwasher is getting enough water, Reset your washer and allow it to drain.
4) Go to the store and get a gallon jug of white vinegar. Start your dishwasher on a regular cycle.
5) Once you hear the jets turning, Open the door and add FOUR CUPS (liquid measure) of white vinegar to the water in the bottom. Let the wash cycle complete.
6) When the wash cycle drains, the rinse cycle will fill. Once the rinse cycle starts, add ANOTHER FOUR CUPS of white vinegar to the first rinse cycle.
7) Allow the first rinse cycle to drain. Let the second rinse cycle complete normally.
I know this sounds too good to be true, but it REALLY DID work for me, this evening as a matter of fact! I also bought some hard water/soap film detergent additive from the store. It was kind of expensive, but I'm using it for a while just in case.
I hope this helps. Like I said, I couldnt believe it when my dishes came out clear again! Also, I turned OFF the heated dry cycle, and just opened the door and pulled out the racks when it was done.
Try adding bicarb of soda/baking soda and vinegar in the detergent dispenser. Bicarb fizzes off hardened particles and vinegar strips off grease and aids rinsing.
I had the same problem (water remaining in the bottom) after the rinse cycle. FYI my GE Nautilus is 7-years old.
(1) I disconnected the drain tube at the garbage disposal unit (in the sink) and, using a wire coat hangar freed a 'plug' of sludge located at the spot where the drain tube clamps onto the garbage disposal. I blew into the drainage tube to further clear other 'plugs' I observed but could not reach w/the coat hangar.
(2) I unscrewed the Filter/Strainer on the inside (bottom) of the dishwasher; and further removed the inner filter; cleaned both out.
(3) Re-ran the dishwasher thru complete wash/rinse cycles (to check for leaks. There were none.
Finally, upon completion of the w/r cycles there will always be a small pool of water (residing in the filter area). However my dishes are clean and (after 7-years) checking the drain tube and filters was a breeze.
Hope this helps
Check disposer plug. If a garbage disposer has been recently installed, it is possible the disposer drain plug was not removed. The drain plug is a plastic piece in the disposer that blocks the hole where the dishwasher hose connects. Also check the hose connected to the disposal. Mine apparently had a kink in it. When I straightened the hose the dishwasher drained at full speed (I recently had a plumber re-route a hot waterline. He must has bent the hose). Hope this helps. If not go to the GE website. That's where I found my answer.
Check to see if you have any switches on your dishwasher that could by pass a rinse cycle.
Use a hotter temparture when washing,
Check your water level, check your filters on your inlet hose top and bottom.
When it gets to a rinse cycle you should hear it drain out and bring in fresh water.
you could change to a liquid detergent.
Dont over load your dishwasher.
make sure you are using rinse aid and try adjusting it up one setting.
Shiney glasses means your rinse add is working. NZL
