No hot water to wash

I get cold water to wash ,but no hot water When I set the machine to hot only...I hear a buzz and no water at all is dispencing into washer. I know I have hot water getting to the washer. This is an older Matag, don't have the model number here. Guessing the solenoid? where is that and can I replace it.

Check the particle filter screen in the hot water hose. It is located in either end of the hose, or sometimes just inside the inlet on the solenoid.
In my experience this has been the culprit over 60% of the time.

Our Roper Top Loading Washing Machine won't fill with cold water and the machine makes a electrical buzzing noise when you turn it on set to Cold/Cold.

Lift the top of your washing machine by unscrewing the back or remove the back and you will find a code and test sheet inside, you normally will find it at the top edge of the machine from or back. Very easy to use if followed to a T.

Whirlpool washing machine does not rinse just a buzzing noise

The buzzing is the water valve, the timer is sending power to the valve but no water is coming out. I would set to wash and as it is filling up change the water to cold then to hot while it's filling. I bet either cold or hot will buzz (usually hot). Once you determine which (clod or hot) shut that supply off, take that water line off the washer, put the end in the washer and turn the supply back on. If water comes out then look inside the valve where the hose connects, it could be clogged. If you have water going to the valve and you don't see a clog then the problem is inside the valve...replace valve.

My GLTF 2940 makes a buzzing sound like a relay not pulling in all the way, during the rinse cycle. If you shut off the washer, and restart it on the rinse only cycle, it goes away.

its probably your cold water rinse only valves solenoid thats loose on the structure or the coil itself is loose, you may not hear it all the time especially during the initial wash start fill, try this, set the washer for cold water fill only on the washer, but turn off the water valves that supply water and start your machine to a wash cycle as normal, try this and see if it dry buzzes(without water),then try the same on the hot side, then with the water still off open up the machine and you can localize the buzzing noise

Kenmore 70 Series will not load hot water

It sounds like need to make some voltage checks on this job. When you set the fill cycle to hot & start the machine do you hear the valve buzz? If you do then the valve is causing the problem.

No water going to feed machine

There's no hot water Some washing machines allow hot water to enter only during certain cycles. Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure about whether the machine is acting abnormally.

If you're sure the machine isn't working the way it used to--or should--try these tests:

  • Is the hot water turned on? If not, turn it on.

  • Is the washer getting cold water but no hot water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct.

  • Is there hot water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, completely replace it.

There's no water at allIf there's no water at all, make these checks:

  • Is there water getting to the machine?

  • Is the water-volume selector switch set properly and are the control panel buttons pressed in all the way?

  • If you have a Maytag® washer, is the fuse (if there is one) in the control panel at the lid-switch bracket blown?

  • Is there a faint buzzing or humming noise coming from the water-inlet valve? (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If you can't hear anything, the water-inlet valve may not be getting any power. If you can hear some noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the water-inlet valve.

    No hot water to wash

Is the hot water hot that is coming to the washer? Are you using the correct settings on the unit? If yes to both then either the solinoid water valve is bad or the timer switch unit is bad. Try going to a totally hot water setting. While turning on the machine feel of the hot water line at the machine and see if you notice a buzz or feel a click as you turn on the machine. On this setting does water run in and is it hot or cold. If water runs and it is cold try going to a total cold setting and see if you get cold or hot water. Is this a new setup or has it been working and stopped? If new, you could have the hoses connected backward. If you get water in both hot and cold settings but cold both ways then your hot water heater is not working....let me know....

If you know for sure that water is flowing TO the washer's water hoses, then the water solenoids must be bad. Listen to see if you can hear both the cold and hot water solenoids buzzing (use the cold & hot water temp switch to switch back and forth). If they're buzzing, then water should be flowing, but if not then water cannot flow because they're not mechanically opening up (they are bad).
