Frigidair affinity dryer error code Ad - Frigidaire Affinity 5.8 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer

I see that your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an error code of "ad". The "ad" error code will display with the "Auto Dry" cycle has been selected. If you did not select the auto dry cycle I would suggest performing a reset on your dryer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for at least ten minutes. Once power has been restored to the dryer and if the error code is still persistent you may need to have a replacement control panel or wiring harness installed. I believe that code means auto dry. Lets make sure the lint and dust is clear from the machine. Check all of your wiring out well since is generally a cause. You may ave to replace the thermistor. Have you gotten any other code along with this.

AD is a indication of board problems.I would unplug the unit for 20 minutes to see if unit will reset

Great. This is the same error my electric dryer is showing now...

During normal operation, the display may show: “ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle. “dn” - cycle is done in auto dry. “PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred. “Err” - an error has been detected. “LOC” - control lock is activated. “PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.

you have a problem with the heat you can't just say it's the element or thermistor you have to unplug it,take it apart and get in there with a meter and check all the t-stats,element thermistor,if they check good you could have a bad computer board but hopefully it will be the element but if you just bought it the dryer is still under warranty for the first year so either call whoever you bought it from or the 800 number off of the machine

I HAVE A FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY DRYER (AEQ6000CE32). WHENEVER I PUT THE CLOTHES IN IT JUST SPINS FOR 10 TO 15 MINUTES AND SHUTS OFF BEFORE THE ALLOTTED TIME. THERE IS NO HEAT IN THE DRYER. ANY SLOUTIONS?
