SOURCE: Printronix T5000r Label Syntax to print " character

It is a syntax error.

It should read:

D;POINT;075;095;12;6;"text"

You might be able to get away with this:

D;POINT;075;095;12;6;"test";"text"

quotes have to be in sets of two and elements have to be seperated by semicolons.

Canon mx922 not printing word document from PC. Puts it into queue

How To Fix It - The fix is simple. You need to clear the print queue manually so that all the print jobs currently in the queue are deleted properly - once the queue is empty you should then be able to print new documents without problems. We will show you how below, depending on whether you use XP or Vista/7:
1. XP - click 'Start' then click 'Run' and in the Run window type CMD then press 'OK' - this opens a Command Prompt window. Now skip to Step 3.
2. Vista/7 - click 'Start' and type Command in the search box. Right click on the 'Command Prompt' result in the search results above it and select 'Run As Administrator' - this opens a Command Prompt window.
3. All version of Windows - in the Command Prompt window (these commands are also shown in the picture below):
4. Type net stop spooler then press the Enter key.
5. Type del %windir%\system32\spool\printers\*.* /q then press the Enter key (Note: the only spaces in this command are a single space between del and %, and a single space between * and /q)
6. Type net start spooler then press the Enter key.
7. Type exit then press the Enter key to exit the Command Prompt window.
Fixing the print queue
This should have cleared the print queue (i.e. all print jobs have been deleted) and you can now submit new jobs for printing
What Do These Commands Do?
The Command Prompt is a throwback to the pre-Windows days of Microsoft DOS but is still a useful way to type and enter system commands. The print Spooler is basically the print 'queue' - we need to Stop it running before we can Delete documents stuck in it.
The Del command deletes everything currently held in the print queue, including the 'stuck' document(s). We then have to Start the Spooler (print queue) up again so that it can accept new print job requests in future.
What If It Keeps Happening?
If the problem only occurs occasionally it is likely just due to an incompatibility with the actual data being printed ( a webpage that has unusual fonts or some other format that the printer is unable to convert into printed output - run the above fix to resolve it.)
However, if you find that almost all documents keep getting stuck in the print queue then Microsoft's answer is that it is an issue with your printer drivers (software) - one solution may be to download and update new printer drivers from the manufacturer. You could also try the Microsoft automatic Fix It for printers . This will repeat our fix above but may also flag up/fix any different Windows errors that stop printing.
Other causes may include a misconfigured printer e.g. network printing to an IP address that doesn't exist uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software from scratch should fix this.

Unable to Print on HP Printer

There are 2 simple methods to resolve any print job stuck in queue issue. However, both the methods will not fix printing issue if the HP Printer is in Error mode. Make sure your printer is able to print self test page to prove its functionality,

First method.

This Utility program resolve all the printing issue for HP Printers Only ( Network and USB connection )

This Utility will Resolve :

1. Check Connectivity between the Pc/laptop and HP Printer
2. Check if there any Documents stuck in Queue
3. Check if all the software/Drivers are correctly Installed
4. Check if the HP Printer icon is the default icon to print
5. Will Resolve Printer Spooler Issue and few more issue

Download the file on Desktop and Run the program ( Ex. File name = HPPDU.EXE )

Click ->> HP Print and Scan Doctor to download the Utility and save on Desktop location
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor file and follow the instruction on screen to fix.

If this does not fix, try the 2nd Method given below ( this is manual process to clear the print job stuck in queue )

This works for all brands of printers ( HP, Canon, Epson, Brother etc )

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > then select Command prompt, then the black window will open and there type NET STOP SPOOLER and hit enter that will confirm service is stopped , after that on the black window type NET START SPOOLER and hit enter. Repeat this step 3-4 times and end the command with NET START SPOOLER and hit enter. Open the Printers folder and Refresh the Window ( Press F5 on the keyboard )

The service will be started and all print queue should already be remove.

// Above given solutions help in resolving print queue issue, however check the printer functionality if it is working fine ( the printer should be in working condition and should be able to print self test page, this utility cannot fix printer hardware issue //

How to change the density of the printer HP LaserJet 5p

I'm afraid this won't be of much help to the original poster, who asked the question a year ago, but anyway - others may be looking for this too, just like I did...

To change the print density, a simple command must be sent to the printer. This is done in two steps:
  1. Create a file, containing the command
  2. Send it to the printer ("copy" it to the printer, in a DOS shell)
The command is:
<ESC>%-12345X@PJL DEFAULT DENSITY=4
where <ESC> represents the "Escape" character (character code 27). There are several ways to generate the Escape character (which cannot be directly entered in a text editor): E.g. substitute the character with any other, save the command and then replace the first character with 0x1b using a hex editor.

Or:
  • Open a DOS window
  • Enter:
    copy con density.txt <Enter>
  • Hold the <Alt> key
  • type 27 on the numeric keypad
  • Release the <Alt> key - the Esc. char. is shown as ^[
  • Type the rest of the command (e.g. %-12345X@PJL DEFAULT DENSITY=4) - adjust the density value to the one you actually want to set.
  • press <Enter> <ctrl-Z> <Enter> to write the file
When you have successfully created the command file, send it to the printer. In the DOS window, enter:
copy density.txt LPT1
(assuming that your printer is connected to LPT1)

That's it!
To verify that the density has actually been set, print a printer status page.
The printer remembers this setting, so this needs to be done only once.

You have the Printer emulation set incorrectly. I think it comes as IBM as default and you should try Epson instead. Its a trial and error thing but am sure emulation is incorrect.

Hi,

I understand that the printer is printing garbage when you are trying to print from internet.

Please follow the below given instructions to resolve the issue.

This issue can occur if the data send from the application from which you are printing, is using the PC-8 character set. This will produce a smiley face or garbage charters each time an unsupported escape code is sent by application. To know the character set, please contact the manufacturer of the application.
Also, you can follow these steps to disable the power managment in the comoputer.
1. Right-click My Computer, choose properties
2. Click Hardware tab, click Device Manager button.
3. Click the + next to Universal Serial Bus Controller.
4. Right-click USB Root Hub, choose properties.
5. Click Power Management tab.
5. Uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device
to save power.
6. Click Ok.
