My $%### helper put too much pressure while he was sanding. He burned the belt out. I replaced the belt, now it won't spin. If I take the belt off, the motor works fine and the shaft spins, but under pressure it stops.
Someone please help

Definitely could be the clutch. It should be very hard to move clutch pad Assembly inside metal housing. . If not that, the basket drive- the part with the brake on it - needs replacing.
Disk's and pads are the same thing,Brake pads,Brake disk. Are you meaning the rotor? If you are the answer is yes,you don't have to replace the rotors unless you have a rotor brake vibration when you are applying the brakes on your car. If you do want to change rotors later, you can but remember to take sand paper to the previous new pads, because they were used and got hot and hard they will now score the new rotors, that is why you sand the pads.
The belt could be worn and will be slipping on the pullys, as it spins up the rubber , rubs against the pullys and that is what creats the burning rubber smell, the belt needs replacing.
Had the same problem on a machine I worked on. Changed the belt... was burnt and broken. Second time I replaced the belt, I ran it through all of the cycles and listened to it on SPIN cycle.. Although it's spinning.. it's making an extremely LOUD noise... It's the Spin bearing that is gone out. When a load is put in, and in spin cycle, the bearing is oveloaded..(being dry).. and putting extreme pressure on the motor and belt. When the drum reaches a point where the bearing just won't spin, the belt stops, and spins on the motor pulley, wearing it through.. (And smoking a great deal).. until it breaks.. again. I believe the top "Spin bearing" is about 75.00 or so.. and a BEAR to replace. Hope this helps
I'm not familiar with that particular model, but they are virtually all replaced the same way. There are a few screws through the pad into the base. Simply remove them and screw the new pad on. You'll see that it's quite simple once you get the new pad in your hands.
Just be careful not to strip the head of the screw: use the right size screwdriver tip.
