Brother 8065 - loud grinding sound resulting in horizonal lines on the copies

I hear this loud grinding sound when the machine is copying. The copies have lines running from left to right --- making my copies unusable. I have owned this machine for 5 years. Perhaps it's just time to replace it?

Loud metal grinding noise during wash cycle kenm ore 11020022011

All Kenmores are the bottom of the line appliances. If under warranty, call Sears. Your machine has problems. May be on it's last legs. None of these sounds are 'normal'. Motors wearing out, likely.

Cannot send out fax

can you copy? If you can't copy then the light has probably failed on the fax reader, or you may be putting the fax in the wrong way round!
If copying works, then check that it is picking up a line and sending, if you lift a phone whilst the fax is being sent you should hear a sort of musical digital tone sound (for perhaps half a minute).

EVERY TIME I SEND A FAX IT COMES OUT BLACK. I JUST CHANGED THE TONER BUT IT DID NOT HELP. I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM RECIEVING A FAX.

this sounds like it is to do with yur scanner section if you get the same result when you try to copy a document then it could be the read head is dmaged.. if you do a copy and there are lines on the copies check the section where you put you rdoc to be copied. lift the cover and you should see a glass slip going across the pathof the paper check to see if typex or ink has stuck to this area .. you can clean it off with a soft cloth and some glass cleaner.. Good Luck A

Faxing copies of drivers' licneces result in poor quality

The Brother 2800 is pretty good machine within its limitations.I would suggest if possible to copy the drivers license on a regular copier and both lighten it up and enlarge it.I had good results using this procedure when I had to fax Licenses.Good Luck

The copier Minolta CSPRO 2050 shows me call your technicians

Time for a PM on this machine. That's what the maint indicator means. Check the copy count and tell this number to your technician when you talk to him so he can bring with him the required parts and supplies.

Longer warm up time accompanied by a loud grinding noise

There are few gears inside the copier that probably need to be replaced causing the grind and the copy quality to happen. It wasn't looked at by the engineer at the time because it happened after they left. They should come back in to fix it.
