You can download the device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB
support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows
drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the

Highly unlikely. That would block all HTTP sites that use Apache. Even then, how would they distinguish one web server from another type. Your error is based on a specific site, or all internet if Comcast does not show their splash page saying it can't reach a specific site.

As the Video Card is integrated into the Motherboard for your Model, the only way to upgrade is to change the entire board with a larger integrated Video Card. I believe there is a board with a 64MB ATI Card available. Cost of this board replacement may be more than ugrading to a newer system with higher performance specifications. Go to the [control panel], select [network connections], locate the icon for the wireless interface, right-click on the icon and select [disable].
Once it is disabled, right-click again and select [enable].
It should work now.
This is not Internet Explorer's fault, this is a bad network connection. I presume you have wireless because I experience the same issues occasionally when my wireless connection drops out. The only solution to this is either use an ethernet cable from the router to the computer or move the computer/router closer to each other or get a further reaching router. Hope that helps!
The problem was in the wep key. I entered the old wep key, not recalling that we had to trade our router in for a new one last summer. When I entered the new wep key we were able to get online.
There are two reasons 1) the firewall on Dell preventing it from opening up 2) IE needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled
Try the later
IE closing immediately indicates that one of the files for IE is corrupt or broken or missing. Try and repair the IE file/files that is/are missing/corrupt
