Acceleration, cracked hose

Hello, There are several types of hoses on your engine. Since you did not mention any water leakage, I assume this may be a Vacuum hose or a Ventilation hose. Either could change the running settings of the motor by venting air into or out of the engine passages.

If this part seems to run where the hose is not extremely hot, you may get a good tape such as Gorilla tape and wrap the broken piece to eliminate the leaks. You may find that warning lights are appearing on the dash to indicate a problem. For that, you should go to an Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts store and get a free scan. This scan will indicate which part is affected. It is a free scan and even if you tape the broken hose together, the computer may still need to be reset. The 3 places I mentioned will reset the computer for free.

When the clerk scans your vehicle, they may even be able to sell you the hose that will renew your cars' system.

Tape got stuck now when trying to eject makes noise then turns off

Good day

Your tape break off inside VCR? Look for broken piece & remove (very carefully)!
RESIST all temptation to touch the drum head! They are very sensitive, & can be ruined easily.

If no broken tape inside, you may have a "broken tire"..a tape spool drive rubber ring.
It's repairable but best bet to find an electronics technician.

The trouble I really suspect is
The loading drawer! There are wee flimsy plastic gears that "pull" the tapes in etc,..they break,...not work after. Need to replace broken parts. Glue won't solve those for long...I've had short-term success.

I was trying to backup my server while exchanging DLT tapes, the tape in use light stayed on and the serve would then alternate to four flashing lights and then back to flashing "Tape In Use...

Hello,

Try the following action to resovle your issue:

1. Run the Drive Assessment Test in HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools.

CAUTION: Running the Drive Assessment Test overwrites the tape. If it is not possible to

overwrite the tape, run the logs-based Device Analysis Test instead.
2. Check the backup logs.

3. Verify that a supported configuration is being used.

4. Check for media damage:

o Incorrect label placement

o Broken, missing, or loose leader pin

o Damaged cartridge seam

o Usage in incorrect environment

5. Check for software issues:

a. Check the backup software.

b. Check that virus scanning software is not scheduled to run at the same time as the back-up.

6. Verify that a tape can be formatted.

Tape Error LED is flashing:

1. Reload the suspect tape. If the Tape Error LED stops flashing, the problem has cleared.

2. Load a new or known good tape. If the Tape Error LED stops flashing, the problem has cleared.

3. Reload the suspect tape. If the Tape Error LED flashes, discard the suspect media as faulty.

From my experience, most of the time it is a bad tape, using a new tape usually solves the problem. If after inserting a new tape and the problem exist, you may need to update your firmware/backup software.

Good Luck

Oxygen sensor replacement

It's something you can with simple tools, you have four O2 sensors. Your going to have to get the truck rescanned or if you have the DTC code, you can find out which O2 sensor has gone bad so you can replace it. Your going to have Two upstream O2 sensors on each exhaust bank, one O2 sensor before the Catalytic Converter, and the last one after the Catalytic Converter. Its like replacing a Spark plug and you can pick up the O2 sensor at any large Auto Parts store with a can of WD 40. Just unclip the wire leads to the O2 sensor and then with a O2 sensor socket or hint close end wrench and hammer, you can remove the O2 sensor from the exhaust pipe. Good luck and be safe.

Tape Cleaning on-screen warning

Depending on the age of the camera/cassette, it may be that the heads are not just dirty, but are actually worn down. The gray bars are the DV equivalent of snow - data has been lost or at least cannot be displayed. If cleaning doesn't solve the problem, the heads probably need replacing. Depending on the age of the camera, it may be more cost effective to upgrade to a new camera.
