Sony handycam ccd-trv59e C32 10

The camera's firmware has sensed a jam or too slow rotation in the cassette's take-up roller. Really difficult to overcome. The tape may already be snarled round a roller, but is certainly in the "loaded" tape path. I've had this and had to disassemble the whole tape transport mechanism - which is really difficult - after trying unsuccessfully to drive the unload motor from an external 6v power supply. Sometimes a really hard sideways bang on the camera can free up the roller enough to let it rotate a bit, satisfy the motion sensor and allow an eject.

Tape Cleaning on-screen warning

Depending on the age of the camera/cassette, it may be that the heads are not just dirty, but are actually worn down. The gray bars are the DV equivalent of snow - data has been lost or at least cannot be displayed. If cleaning doesn't solve the problem, the heads probably need replacing. Depending on the age of the camera, it may be more cost effective to upgrade to a new camera.

Plays back on lcd screen upside down at times

When the viewport is completely flipped around so you can see it when you are looking at the lens, it automatically flips it upside down so it is right side up to the viewer. Make sure it is locked into the correct position to prevent this from happening. Hope this helps
