This could be a
Control Board failure and this where I would start. I would try to recycle 120VAC power to the washer and see if that will restore operation.
If that doesn’t clear the issue then I believe your Control Board has failed.
Do you have surge protection at the washer 120VAC outlet?
Have you had any recent electrical storm activity?

The Control Board is under warranty for 5 yrs from date of purchase.
I got Maytag to send me a Control Board, I passed their owner technical savvy test.
If you are the original owner, call Maytag customer service at 1-800-462-9824
www.maytag.com.
They will ask you for your serial number that is found on the top right back side of the console.
They will give you a number to call for authorized Maytag repair.
I would insist that the repair service bring out a Control Board on the first visit.
