I just...
I have a roper and I will bet its your heating element. Pry the top up with a screwdriver (pops up) and you will see the element on the back of the dryer. Take it out and it will have a break in it.

Not familiar with the Roper unit but most dryers have TWO thermal sensors.
One to keep check of the Drum temperature and one in the coil chambers to regulate the coil temperature
check for power first
roper s have a safety---(long white back of dryer near motor side)-- fuse for motor if popped dryer is over heating check you vent-------- restricted
You may want to do a thorough tuneup on your dryer. I worked on a couple and wrote a pictorial on it. ROPER DRYER TUNE-UP My Home movie of a Roper dryer with a heat problem:
heating coil is probably shot! take off back cover and usually it's just a 2 wires to pull off and a couple screws to pull the coil out. when you look for it, its the thing that looks like a spring is stretched in circles inside an open can...
Remove plug from wall socket. Remove back from dryer. On the right side you should see a sheet-metal duct/tube. Label and disconnect wires to parts going into this duct. Remove duct. Heating element (coils) should be in lower portion of the duct.
Is it gas or elec? Have you checked the breakers? Does the outlet have power? Model# ? Try setting timer in a different cycle. Make sure door is completely closed. Push door switch in manually does it click? Please update lat me know what else I can do to help. Ken
Everything on the dryer works fine except the heat!
