If the amp produces no boom with no signal input cables connected, I'd suggest using an LOC.

I have 2 different subs in one box, a 12" MTX thunder and a 12" Kicker CVR. the kicker is a dual voice coil while the MTX I dont believe is. Can I use one amp for this set up? And how would it be wired?

im guessing both speakers are 4 ohms ..mtx 4ohms and kicker dual 4ohms..now if your amp can go down to 1 ohm wiring the kicker dual coils in parallel (2ohms) and the mtx connected together (4ohms) should leave you with a final impedance between 1 and 2 ohms ...i suggest you use one or get another

I need to know how to bridge the mtx speaker 4500

I assume you mean wiring a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub to a 2 ohm load, right?

Follow closely

Go from positive of the source (amp or positive post in box) to the positive of both voice coils.

Then go fromt he positive of the source (amp or positive post in box) to the negative of both voice coils.

You will be running two length of speaker wire for this. It's the easy way and makes sure that each voice coil gets clean power.

This is called a parallel set up and will bring two 4 ohm voice coils to a 2 ohm load.

Happy Wiring

Need to know how to wire my system ...I have the infinity reference series 611a I was told it was a mono block but it has two channels on the exterrior...also I have two 12 inch MTX thunder dual voice coil...

it all depends on what kind of box the mtx subs are in as far as wiring the subs. The best way would be take the speaker wire from both sub boxes and run the positive into the right positive then the negative into the left negative. and run 8 gauge wiring kit to the amp because 10 might be to small and 4 is to big 8 gauge is perfect for this amp.

How do i wire a mtx 251d at a 2 ohm load

To wire up a 2 ohm load depends on the subs. You will either need 1 sub rated at 2 ohms or 2 subs at 4 ohms wired in parallel. This website will help.

You can also use 1 dual voice coil sub rated at 4 ohms wiring the same way you would the 2subs at 4 ohms. Good Luck

How do i wire up my mtx 15 5500 sub woofer dual voice coil any one know i have tried several ways

there are several ways, it all depends on the bass response you want, and with that, it also changes the ohms in the amp. i'm going to give you seval ways to hook them up. if you are running more than one just follow these steps per sub. the first one is if your sub is dual 2 ohm. Wiring Option #2

this is for dual 4 ohm coils

How do i wire mtx 9500 subs 2 10'' down to a one ohm

THE T9510-04 SUBS ARE SINGLE COIL SUBS AND YOU CAN VIEW THAT WIRING DIAGRAM AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T9510-04.pdf

THE T9510-44 SUBS ARE DUAL VOICE-COIL SUBS AND YOU CAN VIEW THAT WIRING DIAGRAM AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T9510-44.pdf

SINCE YOU NEED A 1 OHM LOAD, I PRESUME BRIDGED AND ARE USING TWO SUBS, THEN HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE THE DUAL VOICE COIL TYPE, AS THEY ARE DUAL 4 OHM AND YOU WILL HAVE TO CONNECT THE VOICE-COILS IN PARALLEL WHICH WILL MAKE EACH SPEAKER A 2 OHM SPEAKER AND THEN CONNECT THE TWO SPEAKERS THEMSELVES IN PARALLEL AND THIS WILL PROVIDE YOU THE 1 OHM LOAD. IF YOU IN FACT HAVE THE SINGLE 4 OHM VOICE COIL VERSION, THEN IT WILL ONLY PARALLEL THE PAIR DOWN TO 2 OHMS. OK. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V

WIRING A DUAL VOICE COIL SUB.

Just wire one voice coil each into left and right rear respectively, in series with the original rears or if this is too quiet, wire both voice coils in parallel together and connect as per original single coil unit.

As they are 4ohms each they can simply be connected as simple speakers on each rear channel output, since thats exactly what they are, capacitors are used inside to make them react to bass frequencies only. Wiring them up is no different to wiring up a pair of 6x9's.

Mtx 1501D

if your power light is on then check your preamps (sub out from head-unit).Maybe you need to turn on that output thru head unit's audio menu. Also when using dual voice coils if you wire them out of phase there will be no output
