How to refill Canon laser LBP3108b printer cartrige?

There is no internal counter in that printer.

I would not advise on refilling a toner cartridge, the toner power is very fine and you do not want to breath in this toner powder.
You can purchase a new toner cartridge or a recharged toner cartridge these are cheaper than a new cartridge.
You can get a few more print pages out of a empty toner cartridge by shaking the toner cartridge in a horizontal position and inserting back into the printer.

Remove the empty cartridge and take to near by cartrige refiller and get the refill done.

This is because of the refill you can try going to your menu and then reseting it, the old chip still see that it was emty.

Ok you need to know this secret with canon and epson printers:

They do not allow any remanufatured or refilled cartriges to work on their printers. Sometimes their printers make sure that such ink will not work (just keep that in mind)

However, if you have been using refilled cartriges before, and it worked, then you may have a defective cartrige. Where ever you got this refilled go back and tell them that you need a newly refilled one because the one they gave you is defective.

If that does not work go to Cartrige world (hopefully they are around where you live) or someplace that will take your cartrige in and give you another refilled cartrige and hopefully its not defective.

All you have to do is open the left side cover (two screws on the front and two bigger ones on the back) and disconnect the black connector with four purple wires as shown on the picture:
