In newer versions of Windows, User Account Control (UAC) is implemented to warn users when they are about to complete an action on the computer that could cause damage.

However, these warning messages can become bothersome. Disable UAC to prevent warning messages from being displayed constantly as you use your computer.

Click "Start," then click "Control Panel."

Double click "User Accounts."

Click "Turn User Account Control on or off."

Remove the check from the box, and click "OK." You may need to restart the computer to complete this change.

Windows 7

Click "Start," then click "Control Panel."

Find the search box at the top of the window and type "User Account Control" into it. This will result in a link labeled "Change User Account Control settings." Click the link.

Move the slider to the bottom of the window to disable UAC warning messages completely or to a position in the middle of the window to disable warnings in only certain situations.

This error is returned when activating the product.

In order to solve the problems related to the error code 0001:0005 during the activation procedure, the option UAC (User Account Control) protection must be disabled. This solution is only applicable to Microsoft Windows Vista operating systems:

Note: Disabling UAC will lead to a less secure system, so don´t forget to re-enable the UAC option as indicated in the instructions.

Next to solve the problem follow the instructions below:

1. Access the Control Panel.
2. Type in UAC in the search box and click Enter.
3. In User accounts, click the link Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off.
4. On the next screen, uncheck the box Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer. Then, click OK.
5. IMPORTANT: reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.

Note: Disabling UAC will lead to a less secure system, so do it at your own risk.

Open up Control Panel, and type in "UAC" into the search box. You'll see a link for "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off":

On the next screen you should uncheck the box for "Use User Account Control (UAC)", and then click on the OK button


You'll need to reboot your computer before the changes take effect, but you should be all done with annoying prompts.
