How do I mount the Face Plate on the Latch? Insert the latch into the faceplate opening, ensuring that the sides of the faceplate line up with the flat surface on the latch collar. Push flush with the drive-in collar. Then grasp the faceplate in one hand and the latch in the other hand and rotate the faceplate clockwise to snap in to the collar.

If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1). It sounds like you have a mechanical bind going on.
