Karcher K2.26 Electric Power Washer - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Problems with my Karcher
Sounds to me that you might just want a replacement capacitor which is on the side of the motor. Thanks Shaun.
No power
The most common problem is the unloader valve. The valve that you use to adjust the pressure need to come out and then free up the unloader valve with some penatrating oil and maybe even some emery cloth. If you cant free it up then it will have to be replaced.
Model330m no power
With the water at the hose bib on the side of the house turn on the unit and see if any water flows through. If not, clean the nozzle as it gets plugged up when not regularly used. Also be sure the REST button on the GFCI plug is pushed in.
Karcher K2.36 Pressure Washer I've just fired
The water must be switched on, and seen to be running freely from the nozzle for a few seconds before switching on the power - suggest you check the fuse in the plug, and then try the above.
How to repair chemical pickup pump
Make sure that you have adjusted the nozzle on the end of the washer so that it produces low pressure as this is the only way it will ****.
What do you press for the detergent
Hi Twist the nozzle on the end of the lance and submerge you chemical pipe in a barrell of chemica, It will then draw chemical at low pressure.
Lack of pressure due water
unfortunately, when the side seam, splits, it usually it cannot be fixed, these seams are ultrasonically "Welded" and once done and split, cannot be repaired. Without going to inordinate means. but one way may be If you coated the entire inside with, a "Layer" of some sort of Rubberized liquid material, that sets and leaves a coating, or some such like compound , and it completely coated the area, and dried, then the pressure would then push, against this membrane, and make an even tighter seal against the split and so seal it. I guess you could indeed try that. If that doesn't stand up to the pressure or work, then it's time for a replacement.
No pressure but water is gushing out from the
You most likely have split the head of the pressure pump. This happens if you use the trigger to stop and start the water flow. My advice is to put a zippy tie around the trigger holding it on all the time and start and stop the machine by the knob on the body.
Breaker kicks off as soon as switch is turned on
the gfci is defective from moisture even after they dry they can be defective, access the cord inside the machine and try a different cord and see if this is your problem, otherwise the pump motor could be bad,the bypass valve on the pump could be bad,if you could run it you could check current draw with an amprobe, but not if it wont start
Was using Karcher and then suddenly no pressure.
not sure about this model but some of them had mototrs that ran constantly wether the trigger was squeezed or not.
on these models there was a pressure relief valve just inside the water hose inlet connection which have been know to work loose.
if not the above type the discount the relief valve
the water pump usually comprises of 3 pistons and various valve assemblys you would need to take the pump apart and check theses parts some had three large nuts that contain the valves .
hope this info is of some use to you
Cant remove the hose
I am guessing that you are talking about the power hose. There should be a "quick connect" fitting on the end. Make sure the unit is OFF. Hold the round metal part that the hose plugs into next to the pump and the little metal end of the hose that sticks into it. Push back on the round part next to the pump. Hose should release.
