Most likely issue is that the cord has been damaged, or that the power jack has become loose.

First step is to remove the battery and try plugging in. If the light comes on, on the front of the laptop, your battery may be dirty or defective.
If the unit will still not power, you will need to test your cord or look into a new cord. If the cord puts out the proper 19v (give or take .5v) then the issue lies with the laptop jack. Otherwise a new cord will most likely do the trick.

Based on the information you have provided, the issue might be due to the Windows Temp files or due to any Virus.
First, we can try deleting the Windows Temp files.
We can do this be performing the Disk cleanup.

There is nothing wrong with the fan. Please go to a computer technician and check the coolant inside which require to maintain the temperature. Over the period it gets evaporated/dried up. Also make sure the air vents are clean and th computer is used in a place where there is sufficient air flow.

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.

Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

Restart the notebook and press F10 to enter into BIOS which should be blue in colour. The move the laptop and check if the screen turns green and fuzzy.

If the screen turns green and fuzzy in the BIOS, then the isuse might be hardware malfunctioning of the screen and your notebook needs to be repaired.

There should be a sequence that you need to press to change it from one type of keyboard characters to another. Look for a key that has the symbol of a keyboard on it. Most likely this is the key that is causing you the problems. Typically you have to press the Function key that is near the space bar as well as the key with the symbol on it to change it from one character set to the other. Evey laptop keyboard is alittle different than the next when it comes to which keys are "functions keys", so you will have to examine your keyboard to find the correct key on you laptop.

Can you see what's on the screen if you hold it under a light? Did the screen die suddenly or were there more symptoms?

The stop error code is most likely STOP:0x0000007B because windows XP doesn't have the correct SATA controller driver to install without assistance.

Options:

If available, try setting the SATA controller in BIOS to ATA or Legacy Mode.

If not available, then you will need to download the SATA controller Driver and slipstream the driver into the XP version you are trying to install

I would definitely consider taking it to a certified repair shop first.

If you must do it yourself, get the proper fan, (Which you can find on ebay for around $22 new), a set of small screwdrivers, and preferably an anti-static wrist band. You will likely need to take out every single screw in the thing to get to the fan. It will be fairly straight forward to replace unless you need to take off the heatsink, in which case the following information may be useful. If you can avoid taking off the heatsink do by all means.

As with all electronics wash your hands first, touch a ground (Typically your sink facet is grounded), and stay grounded if possible (With the wrist pad), and avoid touching any chips as the oils from your fingers can cause problems.
And always take the battery out and make sure it's not plugged in before starting anything!

The fan itself has a 3 wire connector, and will simply screw into place on the heatsink.
If you do remove the heatsink from the cpu you may want some heat transfer goo .

Some heatsinks now don't use heat transfer goo any more and have a pink pad that melts at high temps which helps transfer the heat.

I prefer arctic silver for the heat transfer goo, and to remove the old heat transfer goo before adding the new. Place a very small amount on the heatsink, enough to cover the part it makes contact with and no more, being very careful to not allow any air bubbles, and making sure it's spread evenly across the surface. Don't use your finger, use a flat edge to spread it, Maybe a box razor blade or something similar.

If it uses the pink pad, do not put heat transfer goo on as when the pad melts the transfer goo will mix with the pad and degrade the performance of heat transfer. Ensure the pink pad is in the same place it was when you removed it.

Put back together, ensuring every screw is back in, then cross your fingers and toes.

Try to 'restore' to an earlier date when the double click option worked.

Ok, if you have a installation disc, insert it and boot from the disc. Once you get the option, try a start up repair.

If you cannot find a disc, try booting in "safe mode", once in windows, do a system recovery to the last known good settings.

unseat and reseat the LCD cable behind the LCD and also where it connects to the motherboard. If that doesn't solve it, then try another lcd cable. If that doesn't fix it then that means the LCD is bad and would need to be replaced.
