It sounds like your micro sd card is bad. Can you get a hold of anew one and test it out? If that works fine but your R4 still doesn't work then you might have a bad fake.

If you suspect that you have unstable fake clone version you can get a genuine card like the R4 SDHC there too. http://www.dscardworld.com I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Hello Art, Hi, The Canon brand is known world wide, but if the camera you just got is new and defective, why not return it to the dealer, have them try and operate your camera, if its defective they should replace it. Besides I don't advice gadgets with warranty, let the dealer repair it for you.

There is a write protect tab by the side of the Scandisk card switch it to the other way and try the activities again.

If your Mac system has a MicroSD reader, you can add music directly from MAC to the MicroSD Card. You can also insert the MicroSD card into USB compatible phone connect the phone to your MAC and Load your Music to your MicroSD card.

the only way left is to format the memory card...sometimes there are unwanted hidden files that gets stored in there so to remove these,you must format it

actualy 2 types of memory card named micro sd and mini sd are available so what u have brought is not for micro sd

Unlock the memory card.

There is a Lock switch on the left side of the SD card. Make sure the Lock switch is slid up (unlock position). You will not be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked.
Toggle the lock switch.

If the lock switch is not on lock:
1. Slide the switch up and down. Repeat this 3 times.
2. Let it stay on the Lock position for 30 seconds.
3. Slide the switch up to unlock the card.
4. Try to transfer files into the device.

I assume you are using a card reader. In that case, hook up the reader, and go to "Computer" and you will see it detected as another drive, such as E: or F:, etc. When you double click on them, if it is the reader, it will come up with a DCIM Folder. Keep clicking on it until you get into the file folder (final folder) where you will store your music files. Then open your folder with your music files, on your computer, and drag and drop them into the reader folder. They will then be copies to your SD card. Hope this helps.

There is a little slide switch on the left side with the connector away from you and connector on the bottom. Slide it towards the connector or away from the connector.
This may be your problem or the switch may even be damaged.

You would need to connect it to the computer

Right click the drive name or device name

And click Format

if you or you or any of your freinds have a computer or laptop you can get the usb adapters place the card jn the usb adapter then go to my computer you will see the hdd and the optical drives then beside them you will see your micro sd right click the micro card and you will see a list of options clic format and it wil lerase it

Dear Friend,

• There is a write-protection tab on the mini sd card HOLDER. Every time you insert this into your PC or card holder, this tab slides to the write protect position. Either keep resetting, inserting & reinserting until it doesn't slide or tape it down.
• There is nothing wrong with the mini sd card. Simply locate the write protection key and push it.
• The mini sd card has some error: Go for a low level formatting.
• The card has virus: Remove the virus.
• Change the Usb Port(Recommend you to Use Backside Port)
• Change the Cable
• Restart PC
• Still have Problem Change Card Reader..
