Somehow our pictures got deleted! Is there anyway

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Driver de memory sandisk

You don't need driver for it, only you have enabled, "windows update" if the driver is not installed in you O.S. Windows update search automatically the driver and install it or you can try put the memory in a "card reader USB" and this accesorie don't need a driver.

Card in camera reads "card error". Won't pull

First try cleaning the tiny gold contact points on the card with a small pencil eraser, or a cotton swab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol on it. Next, if the card is still unrecognized, you may need to use recovery software with your PC to recover the pictures. In that case, recommend trying the corrupted card procedures at this link.

Have brand new PNY OPTIMA SD HC 8gb

    Hello

OK, if the memory card itself is locked, you might sometimes get this error code. All you need to do is to take out the memory card and switch the lever on the left side to the unlock.

    6c99e31.jpg

If the error is still displayed after you did the above, you might want to try the card in another camera.

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

    1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
    2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

    Kind regards
    Andrea

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

    I have an Optima SD

You will need a SD Card reader such as this---http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820223088&cm_re=sd_card_reader-_-20-223-088-_-Product
Just insert the card as instructed by the device and plug it into a usb port on your pc. A Autorun window should open asking what you want to do. Choose open folder to view files or something similar to that and drag and drop or copy and paste files to the drive.

My Sanyo camera says my sd card it full when it absolutely is not. Ive even tried uploading pictures to my computer and it tells me there is an issue. It just suddenly did this one day and I think I've lost about 150 photos from Easter and other things that I can't get back and worse I can't take any pictures with my camera now.
