Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook - Page 2 Questions & Answers
I installed a game on acer aspire 5315 but it will not load due 2 d3dx9_41.dll missing. any help plz
Simply please try uninstalling the game and reinstall. If you are using a Windows Xp machine and it is a Laptop then it is likely the graphics card in the machine is not able to handle the level of graphics being displayed in the game.
If you are checking the graphics card driver you may want to take note of any stickers on the machine indicating the brand of graphics card for example if it is a NVIDIA graphics card you will need to go to the NVIDIA site download and install the most recent graphics driver for the card and try again. If it fails it is likely the video card not being able to handle the levels of graphics as mentioned before
Acer recovery disk windows 8
Contact Acer's customer support. Give them the serial number to your machine and they can send you the discs for a shipping fee. Acer is great about that...
Visa or xp. Which is better
If you mean, "Which is better, Windows XP or Windows Vista", that's really a personal decision. Neither is supported by Microsoft anymore, and neither is available to buy anymore. XP is older, perhaps easier on the system. It somewhat depends on how much RAM you have. If 4 gigs or less, I'd suggest XP.
My window has been inverted, how can i make it correct?
i don't know what operating system you are using so this will be a general answer. go to control panel, click on "display", click on "change display settings", open the orientation tab and click on "landscape" and click apply. other options would be portrait, portrait flipped, and landscape flipped. luck.
Forgot adminastrater password
omg. for goodness sake when you get it sorted write the password down and hide it. AND DON'T FORGET WHERE !! first, if you know how, open the bios at startup, this may require pressing "delete" key or f2 repeatedly as soon as the screen turns on, look through the tabs and find the security section. disable the user or os password. f10 or exit saving changes. computer will reboot and away you go. this might not work, and is just the first thing to try. i might do some research online and get back to this post with a better solution. be aware, not all solutions to this all too common problem are user friendly, especially for a novice. you could take it to a service tech but that would undoubtedly cost you.
How do i open a disk drive to a acer aspire e touch
well it sounds to me like you are just trying to open the drive to insert a disk ? go to "computer" or "my computer" on the desktop, double click to open. you should see your hard drive "c" and cd/dvd drive "d" listed. right click the "d" drive, left click eject, voila. if you have more than one hard drive or a partitioned drive there might well be more drive letters but your cd/dvd drive will be marked as such. alternatively click "start", bottom left of desktop, click "computer" and once again you should see your drives listed. physically there should be , on the cd/dvd drive drawer itself a small button, push it once to open. failing all else, there should be a very small hole in the drive drawer, using say a paper clip or similar, insert into the small hole and push reasonably firmly, this should release the drawer manually and the drive will open. hope that helps. good luck.
HALF F MY KEY BARD WRKD
there is a small ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard it needs to be re attached this is very tricky and hard to do for the average computer user there a lot of small screws and they to be taken out in order and put back in order very easy to mess the whole thing up you can look for videos on youtube for your model and find instructions on how to take your laptop apart or your you can pay a laptop repair man to do it or buy an external keyboard that is going to be your cheapest route 10-20 dollars for a usb keyboard problem solved
Make a recovery disk on acer 5315
Did you do it when you bought the machine? It usually asks first up.
If you want to make a backup of the entire drive, then I would use Acronis and have a USB drive the same or larger than your original one. I have used it a few times and the computer hasn't even noticed that the drives had been changed for larger ones. The Acronis site has a free trial - if you only want one backup you could use that one.
HARDDISK SECURITY PASSWORD FOR WDC
Saw on a forum that this could be the default password.. wdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwd
-put DOS on a floppy disk
-add atapwd.exe to the disk
-turn off the computer & connect your Western Digital hard drive.
-turn on the computer and inset floppy
-type atapwd.exe after A:\
-when the menu loads click on your harddrive
- >Prepare Erase
- >Erase
-enter the password " wdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwdcwd "
-It should come back with an error, press enter and the hard drive name will disappear from the list
-DO NOT RESTART-...Your harddrive is being formatted.
-Let it sit at that screen for 30mins
-Afterwards, press the F5 key(refresh) and the hard drive should reappear on the list
-restart...and it'll be unlocked.
I don't know if that will help your problem but I hope it helps someone.
THIS WILL DESTROY DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE
