I have had success with this... Download Asoftech Data Recovery programhttp://www.asoftech.com/adr/You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Next" and wait for it to do it's magic.

take the battery out for a few mins, press and hold power button, re-insert battery, worked for me????

use a converter usb with a thing that goes to your computer

The DV179 uses SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards. You can use any brand and speed SD card, though personally I'd stick with the major brands.

Did you unlock the SD card or accidentally lock it again?. There is a switch on the SD card to unlock it. Try this and then let me know how you make out.

I did an extensive on line search to no avail found several cameras and chargers for other Jazz cameras...so my suggestion is a universal charger which you can get at Wal-mart or target.....also there are lithium battery chargers that can be purchased just like the ones in the camera...and at the same stores.

Your computer isn't recognizing the camera and you may need to install some software in order for it to do so.Another thing? Are you trying to charge it? In my experience, Jazz cameras will only charge with an adapter that is usually included with the camera. Hope this helps.

if u read your instruction manual it says it only supports up to 4 gb

The IR Receiver is for an optional remote control which turns the camera on and off so you can get in the picture. Covering it with your finger has no effect on your pictures.
