Jazz JDC38W Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I can't find software for
Hi liz
I have no knowledge of this camera but I'll have a go at getting your pictures onto your mac.
As a rule with a Mac you don't need any software to download images (there are odd exceptions - this may be one of them), you just connect the camera to the mac with a suitable USB cable.
Under normal circumstances I would suggest using a USB Card-reader instead of the camera but as this camera does not use removeable memory cards you have no choice but to use a cable directly to the computer.
On the camera, use the menu to set it to PC then wait a moment. With any luck you will see an external hard-drive appear on your desktop. It may be called Jazz or may simply be called No Name.
Once that appears, open it up and you will probably see a couple of folders - explore them and sooner or later you'll find your photographs. If you launch iPhoto first it will probably find them for you and all you have to do is press the import button.
Let us know what happens - I'm interested.

Hello
Windows can handle downloading from a digital camera without necessarily loading the software for the camera. Just follow these steps.
1. Connect your camera thru a USB cord to the computer and switch the camera on. The computer should be able to identify it. Some digital cameras get recognized if they are on play/edit mode rather than on taking picture position.
2. Follow the screen instructions to download the pictures to your computer.
3. If nothing happens with 1 & 2 above then go to START and MY Computer and double click that icon.
4. A screen showing all drives connected to your computer will appear including D or E whatever the case maybe where your camera is connected identifying your camera by name.
5. Double click the icon with your camera connection and the software will start reading the contents of your camera and then you follow instructions on the screen.
6. The pictures on your camera will then be displayed on the window and then you can mark all or some of them for downloading to the computer.
I hope this solves your problems, if not please advise accordingly
I need a manual.
If you have successfully downloaded the pics to your computer, then your camera's part in the printing process is over. You need to check what programs are on your computer for the purpose of editing or printing your pics.
I downloaded the disk that came with my Jazz
do not use that program if it fails..just be sure that the driver you have installed is the right one for your operation system ...after that look for the camera in My computer folder ..open and copy the files..if the camera uses a Sd or any memory card ..this will appear in my computer as a removable storage device ..
if you use a card ...the last solution is to insert the card directly into a card reader and copy the files..
Im not sure of the operation system you are using ..but I will link the drivers I find..and try them ...remember you do not need the program to import
If you only have the internal memory and it is not seen in My computer location ..than you can actually use any photo manager that have a feature for import from device ..
Windows Vista Drivers for Jazz JDC38W camera
You should not need any driver for a camera.
When camera is connected via USB cord Windows will simply recognise a new device or drive and you will see it in 'My Computer.
Also Windows camera and scanner Wizard should come up and ask what you want to do with the images.
