Frigidaire PLHS267ZA Side by Side Refrigerator Questions & Answers
Ice Maker not dispensing, auger not running
Hi Zack, this is AP!
I understand you are experiencing trouble with your Frigidaire refrigerator not dispensing ice from the dispenser on model#PLHS267ZA. First, check to see that both doors are closed. The dispenser will not operate if the freezer door is not closed to make the safety switch located where the door meets the outer wall of the freezer. Close the door and make sure nothing is blocking the door keeping it from closing. Another troubleshooting tip is to disconnect the power to your refrigerator for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try to dispense ice. If you are still experiencing the same problem there could be a problem with the motor releasing the ice. If your appliance is still in warranty, you may want to check with the manufacturer to determine any warranty coverage, or if there are any professionals in your area who will not only be able to ensure this is the appropriate fix, but may actually save you some cost if is something simpler to repair. I hope this information helps to some degree.
Best of Luck,
Plhs267za not cooling
Hi Stephen,
So it's my understanding that your side by side refrigerator, model# PLHS267ZA, is not cooling. My recommendation would be to unplug the appliance and leave it unplugged for 3-5 minutes. What you're doing here is giving it a hard reset. When you plug it back in, after the 3-5 minutes, if the display is still not lighting up or it is still not cooling, I would suggest contacting a local authorized technician for assistance.
-Best Regards-
PLHS267ZA is leaking water from the bottom (freezer side)
I would look under the fridge for a drip pan that might be full, so when it defrost it overflows the pan and runs on the floor. If not that you must have a blockage somewhere in the drain line that runs to the drip pan. Take out the shelves and take off the plastic panels to access the drain and drain line, pour some warm water down the drain to unplug it.
Refrigerator door will not stay closed.
Hi Lee, I am happy to assist
you. The Freezer will pop open if there is too much air pressure being forced
out when the refrigerator door is being closed.
First close the refrigerator
door softly and do not permit the door to slam shut or close abruptly. Now,
check your door seals by placing a newer dollar bill where the door meets the
edge of the refrigerator and try to pull out the bill. If the bill slides out
easily, the seal needs to be replaced.
If this becomes a serious
issue, you may contact an Authorized Service Technician who will be better
equipped to diagnose the exact issue. If you do not know one personally, you
can often locate an authorized servicer at the manufacturer website.
