Laser scanner unit error.
Turn off the printer, and then turn it on again. If the same error occurs, turn off the printer, then contact the store you purchased the printer, or a service representative. When contacting the service representative, inform them of the error code displayed and symptoms.
Error Code: E100 0000

Printing quality is depend on your life of the cartridge. replace the new cartridge and check print.

Possible that they cartridge chip is faulty, press firmly down and if not working then replace cartridge

MAY U HAVE THE PAPER PATH SENSORS SO CHECK ALL SENSORS AND EXIT SENSOR

in windows 7: go to control panel > show large icons (top right handside of the screen) > Devices and printers then right click your Canon and go to printer preferences, there should be a tab in there called "maintenance" or similiar. in trhere it will allow you to clean print heads

Remove and re-insert.

be sure to have the right size of paper in the printer. if you are using LTR in your printer, be sure in the printing preferences is the same size.
