Check that you do not have any bent pins in the USB connector. If a USB stick/device is inserted a bad way, then you can bend the pins in the connector.

Go to CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM and SECURITY, and select DEVICE MANAGER under SYSTEM options. Go down the list to IMAGING DEVICES and click to see if your webcam is installed with a yellow symbol indicating a problem.

If you have a problem OR if the camera is not there, try reinstalling the Device Driver. Go to your computer manufacturer's web page, identify your system, click support, and device drivers. DOWNLOAD and REINSTALL the device driver for your camera.

If this does not work, you may have a hardware failure and need to replace the camera which is usually very inexpensive. Look for it on eBay rather than the manufacturer's web site.

Under View tab, there is a Hidden Files and Folder; click the Show Hidden Files and Folders .
If you still need any help, please let me know (or posting it under new case).

I am sorry to tell you, but you are out of luck, unless you are willing to go to extreme measures. Lenovo's are one of the worst when it comes to BIOS passwords because it encrypts the password and stores it within a motherboard storage chip. The only way I have seen to even have a chance of getting around a Lenovo BIOS password is to solder an adapter into the motherboard, connect the adapter to the serial port on a second computer, run a specific piece of software, and then sort through hex codes to seek out the actual password field. I'm not sure where you can get the adapter or software, or how much it costs...I just know that it is not something common and not something that is easily done.

Hi,

I found a homepage with a load of Backdoor passwords, - one of them will bypass you forgotten BIOS password. If you dont know your type, you´ll have to try them all out, or untill you hit the right one:

Do you have access to a volt-ohm meter? Look at your power supply, it says what the voltage needs to be. Does it have a green led & is it on?
To chk using a good meter, dis-connect your power supply from your pc & from the wall plug. If both ends are not connected you will not got shocked if your in your home, sitting down. Turn the meter dial to the "ohm" setting & begin with the R X 1 scale, place the black lead to the outside edge of the cable, place the red lead to the center pin, if the scale meter doesn't move, then try each of the other scales. After you finally got "a reading", do the same to the end that plugs into the wall. They will be different, but you do have to have a reading on both ends, or the power supply is bad. if all is good, (got a reading), plug the power supply back in to the wall & turn the meter to the dc scale & voltage to the 10 to 50 vdc setting. Very cautiously now, place the black lead on the outside edge again, & the red lead to the "tip" of the pin in you pc end of the cable. DO NOT ALLOW the red lead to make contact with the outside edge of the cable or you will short out the power supply! If you have the proper voltage, (usually 16vdc to 20vdc) the power supply is ok & you'll need to take the pc to a competent repair place to get a quote for repair. BE CAREFUL!

This could be one of a few problems.
It could be the power supply has gone out. The black brick on the cable is the power supply.
It could be the Motherboard has gone out.
It could be the RAM has gone out.
