Whirlpool 24 in. ADP5966 Free-standing Dishwasher - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Hi, the Council shut the water off to our house
Hello - Probably, but someone with basic electrical skills can check the wires in the power connection box under the unit. If these wires look good, the problem is best left to a pro. Some part of the circuit is grounding, causing breaker to trip. Finding out where is an on-site job. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- Ed

Hi girijyo,
F8 means you have a blockage in your drainage pipe, try cleaning all the filters and the drains, then closed it up, held the start button until it restarted. let us know if this works.

I have a dishwasher (whirlpool)
You may want to check the power coming out of the power supply and leading to the circuit board. You should have about 13.5 volts. you can also test other components with the voltmeter and also an ohmmeter. I do also suggest testing the door latch switch with an ohmmeter to see if the resistance changes when you press the button. If you need to, you can get parts and manual at repairclinic.com
Rinse aid is no longer being used up in my
You need a new water inlet valve. You are probably only getting half as much water as it takes to clean and properly rinse your dishes. Call or email us and we'll be sure to get the right part out to you right away.
Not filling with water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

I had the same problem. Indicator flashing. F7 displayed. Nothing seems to work.
The following worked for me:
Remove the filter on the floor of the machine, including the metal grill.
Press & hold the start button (like you do when you want to cancel a programme). this will drain the water out of your clogged up drain outlet. Clean your filter and grill and replace it.
My guess is that the sensor in the drain (a little glass tube) measures whether the water going out is clean enough to decide that your dishes are now rinsed correctly. If your filter's clogged, the water going down the drain is still dirty. After a while it gets sick of trying and stops the machine.
F7 in whirlpoolese may mean "Clean my filter now or you can wash your own bloody dishes"
