RCA TH1101 MP3 Player Questions & Answers
Mp3 player downloads
Mostly you pay, but there are a few free sites still left.
Use Windows Media Player to transfer music and delete songs
As far as downloading songs, you can sign up for a wide number of music services - each one has a different download method, and the company website will explain how to use it. The problem with this RCA player is that it was tied to Yahoo!'s Musicmatch Jukebox svc, which was cancelled in October 2007, so you will have to find another music service. Some music services will recognize the RCA player directly, and you can use their svc to download the songs directly to your player. Other services you will have to download the songs first, and then transfer them to the RCA using Windows Media Player afterwards.

Can't down load music
You will have to renew your subscription or get another music service. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.
My new mp3 pearl
The license on the songs that you are trying to download either does not permit transfer to mp3 players - or the license has expired. Use mp3 format songs only, and you will never have this problem. You can read my "Tips & Tricks" article on song formats if you really want more detailed information.

Burning to a CD
As long as the Mp3 file has burn rights, then you can do it. Windows XP and up, on many PC's, has native CD burning software. If your computer does not, then you can get Roxio or Nero's CD burning software online (not free) - it will contain detailed instructions. Microsoft's website has detailed instructions for burning files to CD. If the burning fails, it is because the songs you are trying to burn do not have "burn rights".

How do i put songs onto my mp3 player
Hello jaclyn22,
There are two ways to transfer files to your RCA Peal TH1101 MP3 player. You can either use a MP3 manager software application (such as Rhapsody or Yahoo! Music Jukebox, which is included on the CD that comes with the player) or you can simply drag and drop MP3 files from your computer's hard drive into the player using Windows Explorer.
The advantage of MP3 management software is that it allows you to organize your music collection, create playlists and purchase and download new music.
The procedure for how to use these methods to load music onto the player can be found on pages 10-11 of the user manual. If you need a copy of the manual you can download it from this link to the RCA website:

Cant get my computor to recognise my mp3
Hi ebowes007
Try this solution to your problem.
Go to Device ManagerTo get to Device Manager you will:Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager. After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit. Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points. If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict. If you currently have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.Please take time to rate me.Bud
