My daughter's Zune went through the washing machine and dryer in May 2008. I checked the internet & it looked pretty bleak. I couId see water inside the screen area & it would not turn on at all. I decided to just leave it sitting on the counter for awhile instead of just throwing it away. Three weeks later I tried to turn it on & got a low battery display. We plugged it in, charged it and it has been working ever since (it is now August 2008).

RCA TH1100A track order problems

I am having a very frustrating problem with my RCA mp3 player. I purchased it intending to use it to listen to audiobooks that I already had in mp3 format on my computer, but no matter what method of file transfer I attempt, the tracks refuse to play in order, which is unacceptable for listening to a book. I've tried setting them up in a playlist in the recommended Yahoo! Jukebox program before transferring, and the files are labeled in such a way that they are alpha-numerically in order automatically by the usual computer file standards. Anyone know how to force this player to play tracks in a specific order? Thanks!

Here's how I resolved the Play-Order Problem with my TH1101A using Windows Exporer:
1. I put every file (MP3 and WMA) in one folder on my computer.
2. I renamed the files 001.mp3, 002.mp3, etc in the order I want them to play.
3. On the FOLDER, Right click - Properties - Customize Tab
4. In dropdown, change to "Documents (for any file type), click Apply
5. General Tab, "Advanced..." button - UNcheck "For fast searching, allow Indexing..."
6. then click "OK" "Apply" "OK" to exit folder properties.
7. In explorer, all the files in the right pane should be sorted by name in proper order.
8. Copy the files to the Pearl.
This worked for me, but of course, I can't guarantee anything.

Hello likeapimp,

Both the TH1100 and TH1101 require Windows 2000 (Service Pack 3), Windows XP
(Service Pack 1 or higher) or Windows Vista. All of these OS's will recognize the players without you installing any drivers.

for software

for pc not recognizing-
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

How can I delete songs from my Mp3 player after I have downloaded them?

Hi there.

There are 2 ways to delete songs from your Sansa E260: By browsing the folders containing the songs, or by formatting the player.

To browse the player, it's important to know first that the player has 2 modes: MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) and MSC (Mass Storage1.gif Class). Music files saved on one mode would not be seen in the other mode when browsed through Windows Explorer.
You can switch modes by navigating your E260's menu using the following:

Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode

Next, plug your player in your PC and open Windows Explorer. You should first set your Explorer to "Show hidden Files1.gif and Folders" by going to the "Tools" menu (located on menu lists on Windows Explorer window), then choosing "Folder Options", then enabling the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" radio1.gif button

Deleting Music files under MTP Mode:

1. Your player should appear as a Sansa E260 icon in Explorer as a "Portable Audio Device". Double left-click this icon to browse the player.
2. You'll find a "PPI NAND" sub-folder. Again, double left-click on this sub-folder.
3. You'll find a series of sub-folders, one of which should be titled "Music". Double left-click this to open it.
4. Your music should appear as individual files or folders. Delete this to remove the file(s) from the player

Deleting Music files under MTP Mode:

1. Your player should appear as a Drive letter and entitled either as a "Removable Drive" or as "Sansa E260"
2. Double left-click on this drive letter to browse the player
3. You may find your music files immediately on this folder, or you'll find a series of sub-folders, one of which should be titled "Music". Double left-click this to open it and view your music files.
4. Delete the music files you want, and they should be removed from the player

Deleting files through Format:

1. Formatting the player erases all files in the player, and oftentimes this is the best option to ensure that all files are removed and any corruption eliminated. Also, it is best to format the player when in MSC mode.
2. When the appears as a drive letter (under MSC mode), right-click on that drive letter and select "Format". On the "Format" pop-up window, click "Start" to begin the format process.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts and safely remove the player from your PC when the "Format Complete" display appears.
4. Unplug the player from the PC and when the player is powered up, the message "No Files" should appear on the player's LCD screen
5. Switch the mode back to "MTP", or continue to use "MSC". Note: It is best to use "MTP" when you are transferring subscription music to the player

I hope this helps. :)

My RCA Pearl TH1702-A MP3 won't turn on or register on computers?

I have the RCA Pearl TH1702-A MP3 but I don't have the manual for it anymore, despite not having it for more than a month. I turned it off the other day and it hasn't turned on since. I've tried changing the battery multiple times, but nothing works. The computer doesn't even recognize the MP3 anymore, and I don't know why. It wasn't even off for half an hour before I went to turn it back on. Someone I work with mentioned trying to reset it with a code, but I don't know what code that would be. Any ideas?

Hello,

Taking out and replacing the battery might help, mostly.

There's also a trouble shoot page:

When needing the manual look here:

I'd appreciate your vote if this helped.
