No power when i turn on my mk3 turntable
Check the internal fuses. There are two. You have to strip the unit down to get to them.
This video will show you what's involved:

I have technics 1210 mk3d turntable, problem is
Two causes a bad cartridge, or something wrong with the pre-amp for turntables in your amp. Reversing the leads into the amp should make the poor channel go to the other side. If it doesn't it's the pre-amp. If it is the pre-amp, they are not to diffcult to fix. Most are just an IC with a few components around it.
TECHNICS SL 1910 TURNTABLE SERVICE
The grease and lube in the mechanism will
need cleaned out and replaced due to the
"age" of table! The "lifter" may be bound
up due to grease drying out...
The L side channel has gone
The most obvious cause is the cartridge. However first of all check it's not your amp. Do this by reverseing the leads so the right goes in the left imput etc. If the fault doesn't go to the otherside, then it's the pre-amp for the cartridge that has failed in your amp (generally an IC).
If that's OK, then disconect the wires to the cartridge. If you then touch the end of them with your fingers you should get a buzz on either channel. If you do it's the cartridge, if not then the fault is inside the turntable somewhere.
Hi!
i'm getting distorted sound on
it can be due to faulty amp in the turntable.
You would have to try the turntable on the amp of a friend or so in order to confirm if the turntable inbuilt amp is working properly. Also check that the stylus is in good working order. Any old dirty residue stuck on the needle, or needle that is slightly bent, will produce a distorted sound.
The other possibility can be a misalignment of your cartridge, or dirty/bad stylus.
1. Make sure stylus is clean, downforce is set correctly.
2. Find out if you do indeed have a phono stage in your TT. If you do, you will need to connect it to the AUX on your amp (or any line level input eg CD or tuner).
3. If there is still distortion, then you need to try the TT on a separate system.
clean the stylus properly also clean the needle and check out.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.
please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
Change euro electrical plug to north american
As long as the mains cable running into the deck has only 120 volts going down and the switch is set to 120, there's no reason why you can't cut off the euro plug and fit a USA type plug.
Louder sound signal out off
First reverse the deck plugs to your amp to make certain it's not something to do with that.
Disconect the left and right wires from the cartridge. With your finger & thumb grab hold of each channel wire. It should hum/buzz. If there is no difference then the cartridge is faulty. If there is a difference, I would have a look inside the turntable (access via the bottom) you might find a pre-amp or something wrong in it.
If the problem is in your amp, trace the cartridge pre-amp via the wiring. You might find what might be the cause there. Most by the way are a single IC that does all the work.
Platter or motor or what?
Been seeing a lot of problems like this on the newer decks. if the lights instead of moving smoothly are moving a bit, then stopping a little, then moving a bit more. or just wobbling a little bit usually has something to do with the motors... I have also just had to have mine replaced to was having the same problem.... expensive
