The key that it is asking for is the key for the wireless network.

If this has not been changed from the manufacturer or ISP that you got the router from, you can usually find the key on the bottom of the router, or in a sticker in the box that the router came in. It will say something like 'wireless key' or 'WPA key' or similar.

If you cannot find the key, and the router came from your Internet Provider, it may be worth giving them a call and seeing if they have a record of the key.

Hope that this helps!

You are trying to open the NAT on the router.
For this you will need to reduce the MTU settings on the router to 1365. Disable the UPnP on the router.
You will also need to trigger some ports on the router.
For this you will need to open the router set up page.
Router set up page is the page where you can change the settings of the router

Only one wired connection works

have you tried the same cable in all 4 ports?
If it works in all the ports, plug the other cables in and reboot everything. PC,s modem and router.
You may be getting ip address conflict, rebooting should cure it.
If the same cable just works in 1 port, the router is broken

I think the power cable of your modem has been damaged. kindly check the power cable. If there is no light on the modem , it is assumed to be that the power cable has been damaged. so you have to purchase the power cable of the modem. If the power cable is found to be perfect , kindly purchase the net work cables/ OR prepare the net work cables if you are aware of about the network cables., because the clippings of the network cables might have spoiled. If the power cable of modem, network cables are found to be perfect , it is certainly , the modem might have damaged. To fix the all the problems mentioned above , you are requested to to contact your ISP ( Internet Service Provider) . They will certainly fix your problems. In the mean while kindly try to solve yourself. If you are paying rent towards the monthly charges against the modem to ISP , they must be replace your modem with new one. If you have purchased the modem by paying the cost of the modem at the time of installation of the internet connection , you have to purchase the new modem, if the old modem was found to be damaged.

3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop/desktop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address. This set up in the "security tab" in the router. using 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to access through a browser.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.
8. check for firmware update at the manufacturers site for your model router
9. cell phones, cordless phones, digital TV's, can affect the data signal from a router. Also distance from the router can be a factor. If your router is in a basement place the router to a upper floor and center it in the room.
