Hello i have a sprint treo 755p here are steps for making it brighter and stay on i have they same problem

PRESS AND HOLD WHITE BUTTON AND HIT P AND IT HAS LIKE A SUN LIKE ICON AND USE THE 5 WAY NAVIGATOR TO THE RIGHT AND IT WILL PUT THE BRIGHTNESS UP AND STAY UP!

Older palm products and vista aren't compatible. You either needs to transfer info via bluetooth or upgrade your palm if you wish to continue using vista.

Hard resets on a 755p are described in the user's guide as removing the battery (with the phone off, and screen off), and then pressing the Navigator-UP button and holding until you insert the battery again, and you see the Orangle PALM logo displayed, where you can release your Nav-UP button. This does not work.

You need to hold down on the red power button, until the Orangle PLAM logo shows up, release it, and you will see a question like "do you want erase all of your data?" , press the Nav-UP button, and it will now do a clean hard reset.

Now, on the backup folder.

If you do not change user-names, and your PALM Hotsync setting for 'Backup' is set to 'Desktop overwrites handheld' you will get everything back when you HotSync. Therefore, if you delete the problem App's from your Backup folder (ie C:\palm\755p\backup, where 755p = your HotSync name) and you change to the settings on 'Backup' to 'Desktop overwrites Handheld' - then when you hotsync, you'll get the app's you want back, and not the ones you do not.

I hope this makes sense.

This might not be to everyones taste. But my Palm 750v after being put through hell in my pocket started to freeze, have blank screens on reset, and generally playing up and not working. I found that bending it on top and bottom (not screen), pressing on the speaker part while bending, and twisting it gently restored it to work fashion, well enough to back everything up. I had to keep it bent to get it to bootup all the way through its screens. I hope this helps, but it might not be for everyone.

send the palm treo back to your provider tell them what is happening they should repair it at little to no cost if it is not anything major.

sometimes plugging in the headphone jack will cause my phone to not have sound even when I pull the plug out of the jack. I've learned to just stick the plug in and out a few times and it gets it going.

There could be a outbound mail filtering done at the company's gateway level. This could be for security reasons.

Try removing the SIM card and the memory card. Then try turning it on. In case it still does the same, there might be some problem with the Operating System of the phone.

Sir it can not be repaired by reseting phone you have to update software of phone if does not succes there must be a technecal problem we can do anything if there is a technecal problem in your inside phone.you have to visit nearest mobile repair shop thanks

I had this problem. It appears that the solder joints on the headset jack are rather weak. When they break, the phone thinks there is a headset inserted into the jack, even when there is not. This disables the phone's built in speaker and mic. The solution in my case was to either replace the phone or have it fixed under warranty/insurance.

Make sure it is a 32bit operating system on you laptop...if your operating system on your laptop is a 64bit it will not work. Check the Palm support website to see if they have a current download
