do you mean locked to a network /provider? or locked meaning security usercode locked?

yes u cant exit the screen until u do the align test for the touch screen its a easy fix on the back of the phone on the left side top there is a hidden pen that comes out of the phone and when u get the pen out use the point of the pen to touch the center of the circle on the align screen test it will ask u to do this in every corner of the screen after that the phone should get out of the align screen test and be able to work good luck

"rom Image" is reffering to the operating system on the phone, this is common when rooting android phone but not sure on treo, check treo website for "rom update" may have to plug ur phone into your computer to doit. hope this helps

There are multiple reasons for the phone to go into an endless loop.

Fix #1 - Soft Reset - Take out the battery. On the back of your phone, pop the cover off, remove battery, place battery back in and it will show each screen once and power on normally.

Fix #2 - Hard Reset - To do a hard reset, hold the power button while you replace the battery and then release it when the Palm logo appears.

Fix #3 - Hammer

Just had the same problem and had to do a hard reset. Of course, Sprint tech support told me that I couldn't do that if none of the keys worked but when I held down the red start-up button and kept it pressed as I re-insert the battery and then answered yes to removing all old data, it worked for me.

take the battery out. press the red button down and without releasing it, put the battery back in while still holding the red button down. It's a little awkward but works.

I have had this same problem from day one with my 755p. The issue is that the phone still thinks there is a headset plugged into it-even though there isn't one. I have heard it is because of poor welding. If you have the monthly protection plan you should be able to take it into a Sprint store and have them give you a new phone (I have done this twice now). For the meantime, you can stick a paperclip into the headset hole and toggle the switch. This is only a temporary fix. I have not heard of Sprint/Palm actually fixing the problem-it is probably cheaper for them just to give out new phones. I hope this helps...

Hi there if you can access the manufacturer website you should download the software available for your device, this should solve the problem.Simply go to the website and look for your model of palm and follow the steps.

it is a problem with the display IC of your mobile , not with the screen . its minor and a warranty will cover it up . or if u don't have the warranty get it repaired at a local mobile store.

you have to hardreset your phone it will wipeout your all the data. but it will work
1. Disconnect the Treo from a charger or USB cable.
2. Remove the battery cover and take out the battery.
3. Press and hold Power/Endwhile you insert the battery.
4. When the screen lights up with the logo appears, releasePower/End.
5. Press Up when the Erase all data? prompt appears.
6. Press Up to confirm the hard reset.
7. Go through the steps of setting up the device again by picking a language and calibrating the stylus.


Now your Treo 755p is hard reset.
