So the person on the phone started to give you instructions for a Razor phone.

Have you tried contacting the seller again, as this is not something that everyone does to their phones, I think you should call him and ask him for instructions on what to do when you get told to this and that.

As he has already gone through the process and knows what needs to be done.

For only $9.95 I will tell you how I fixed the problem,

in order to perform a hard reset, you take out the battery. hold the power button and insert the battery.

release the power button when you got palm/access powered. it should prompt you to erase all data. press up to erase and finish setting the device. no need to reinstall the palm desktop software.

have you tried putting on speaker phone?
your speakers could be damaged.
have you tried pulling the battery out with the device powered on? do you use your phone as a mp3 or alarm? bc sometimes if you have it to high for an extended amount of time the speakers can burst, but it is weird that they also can not hear you? do you ever use a bluetooth headset?

You will have to call Sprint with the DEC number, they will be able to unlock it.

1. Remove the Palm startup files listed in the Accounts > [Account Name] > Login Items

Transport Monitor & Palm Desktop Background

2. Delete the Palm application folder (don’t delete your Palm data folder)

Delete the files from the following paths to clear out a corrupted install of Palm Desktop:

./Applications/Palm
./Library/Application Support/Palm Desktop/
./Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync/
./Library/CFMSupport/HotSync *
./System/Library/Extensions/HotSync *
./[login name]/library/preferences/com.palm*


Re-install the palm desktop and related software.

When the installer is running correctly, near the end three install applications will be running:

Installer
ConfigLaunchServices
Palm Setup Assistant

This should solve the issue with the transport monitor. (16)

try to Restore your unit to original factory setting, 80% chances it may solve the issue.

It still not working your gonna need to replace the earpiece and the mic

i'm having the exact same problem and not one person at the sprint store is willing to give me a straight answer. i found this on the internet:

I was able to make it to the Sprint store on Monday. The tech there told me that the Treo 755 series has this speakerphone/audio problem that they've been seeing alot lately.

Here's what to expect if it happens to you:

- your speakerphone button goes away
- you will not hear the phone ringing or anyone speaking at the other end
- you must use the headset that comes with the phone to hear anything - you most likely won't be able to use any other headset
- you will not be able to hear incoming calls but you will be able to make outgoing calls using the official headset only
- you can get your voice mail messages using the official headset only
- you will not be able to hear music, radio, tv, or any audio whatsoever
- soft or hard reset will do nothing
- your bluetooth headset will not pair with the phone

It's a real drag using those official headsets, how do people get them to stay i their ears I wonder? Mine keeps falling out no matter how I shove the thing in there. But at least I can use the thing until the replacement arrives.

Hopefully you've purchased the $3/month plan to replace your phone if it fails because you will need a new phone. I'm now waiting for the phone to come into the store, they're currently out of stock.

I think I've covered it all. I wanted to be sure to let everyone else know about this problem. Make sure you back-up & synch your phone alot to save your data.

In my earlier attemts, the H505 headset was probably never in "pair" mode although I was seeing a steady blue light or if it was, it was trasmitting previous Motorola Razor profile to which it was paired to. Once I found on Motorola website that other similar Motorola headsets (without power switch) can be reset by holding the two volume buttons and call button simultaneously for 10 seconds, I did reset the headset and there after my pairing attempt was successful..i.e. it stopped and asked me the passcode before throwing security error. users.dat is created in your named profile directory on the drive in the Palm folder. If it is missing, your computer can't sync properly to the device. Do a backup of your device using the palm desktop, this should recreate the file in your profile folder on the machine.

Backup the entire phone, it will create a directory on the computer, then you can delete the message file and restore your phone. You can also change the settings to not backup your messages if you use the Palm desktop, this is not an option using the Outlook conduit however as your messages sync to Outlook.

no u must always hotsync every weekend, he will loose his data completly!!

NEED TO DO A HARD RESET ITS GOING TO ERASE EVERYTHING AND ITS GOING TO GET RID OF THOOSE PROBLEMS! JUST PRESS AND HOLD THE RED END BOTTON AND AT THE SAME TIME PULL THE BATTERY (KEEP UR FIGURE ON THE RED END KEY) THEN PUT THE BATTERY BACK, AND IF I WERE U I WOULD DO A SYNC EVERY WEEKEND!

palm treo 755p doesnt have a sim card tray!
