GE 24 in. Monogram ZBD6880KSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Will not finish cycle without restarting
Hello. When looking up your unit for the service manual, I found that it might be subject to a service flash--potential fire hazard. You will need your complete model and serial number. Call GE (877) 275-6640, and find out if your washer is in the list. There is a condensation problem in the door which can cause moisture to drip down onto the control board causing a short circuit. There needs to be a cover over a fuse on the board. If your unit has a green dot next to the sticker which has the model/serial number on it, it's already been modified. If not, then GE will send a parts kit and you will have to get a tech to install it.

GE Monogram DIshwasher
Before taking anything to bits, check you aren't just loading the machine in such a way that something (for us, it's usually a frying pan) is stopping the soap dispenser from springing open all the way.

Water remains under the 4
First make sure your homes drain pipe is not plugged up. If not remove the drain hose where it connects to the drain pump. you will see a flapper valve(thin rubber piece) #328 in the diagram, this is probally allowing water to flow back into the machine. A common problem with this model the flapper gets torn or worn out. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Enter your model # at
www.appliancehelponline.com and diagrams will come up for your model.

Touchpad on GE monogram not working right
This is a pretty expensive repair that I don't usually recommend. You have a bad touchpad assembly, and may have a bad main control board. This is a pretty expensive maybe, with no perfect way of diagnosing both problems, without first installing the touchpad and testing to see if it is the only bad part. You can check to see if there is any warrantee left on the electronic parts. If your Dishwasher is only 2 to 5 years old, your owners manual will usually tell you what warrantees you have. Some only have a year warrantee, some have a 2 to 5 year electronic control warrantee. Also we are seeing a lot of these repairs right after there was a power surge in the area. You can have your dishwasher rewired by installing a normal receptacle that is accesible to you, and install a surge protector that your dishwasher is plugged into. You can also have an electrician install a surge protector for your whole house, in your circuit breaker box. If you do replace your dishwasher, the dishwasher that I have the fewest repairs with is the Whirlpool/KitchenAid model.

Has anyone reported smoke coming out of the unit
What kind of unit is it? What Brand, model, etc.. How long have you had it. Is it hard wired. This is an indication that you have a short somewhere. Is the item still under buyers warranty, or from the manufacture. If you can provide me with additional info I might be able to assist you further. Hope this helps.

GE Monogram 24" Dishwasher not quite getting the job done
Th ete first thing to do is put a pack of limonade unsweetened through a wash, it will clean any hardness minerals. Next be sure the heat element is working properly, then consider replacing the pump/motor assembly, fairly easy you can prts online.

Buzzer won't stop; electronic controls are frozen
Something has shorted in the unit where the buzzer is. It ran on a small circut board and this will need to be replaced at this time, also since the controls are frozen this give me the same conclusion that the board in the unit has malfunctioned, you will need to contact the manufacture for a local autherized repair person to replace this bard inside that controls the functions and buzzer in the unti. If you found this information helpful please rate it accordenly - Thank You for using Fixya.com it was my pleasure serving you today!

Purchased a used Monogram Dishwasher/no factory info was included
First, here are some tips to help with your model number: look for an aluminum tag--or a silver or white adhesive label. The model number may be printed or
stamped onto the tag and it may be written in two different type sizes or styles. You might find the tag in one of these places:
- Inside the door jamb, to the left, right, or top
- On the door, to the left, right or top
