Cannot get the fax function to work

HP Toolbox and Fax Management - The HP LaserJet all-in-one product software includes a web application to easily communicate with and manage the HP all-in-one product. The HP Toolbox allows monitoring the status of the product, examining and changing product settings, gives access to fax software functionality, allows scanning from the all-in-one product control panel, provides product alert functionality, and presents troubleshooting and "How Do I " content.

Connect an active telephone line to the back of the HP printer. You will see the telephone jack next to the USB port. The HP printer is now ready to fax a document. Hit start and it will work.

  1. Make sure that the fax header contains the full 10-digit telephone number of your HP fax product, including the area code. To modify the fax header, use the following steps:
    1. Press the Setup button (c01461502.gif ) on the product control panel.
    2. Press Basic Fax Setup , and then press Fax Header .
    3. Type personal or company information using the keypad, and then press OK .
    4. Type the phone number, including area code, for your HP fax product, and then press OK .
  2. Dial 1-888-HPFaxme, and then send a fax to the HP Fax Test Service.



test your fax working or not:-
  1. Make sure the product is turned on and correctly connected to the telephone jack.
  2. Make sure that there is plain white paper in the input tray.
  3. Press the Setup button (c01461502.gif ) on the product control panel.
  4. Press the right arrow (c01185072.jpg ) to select Tools , and then press OK .
  5. From the Tools menu, press the right arrow (c01185072.jpg ) to select Run Fax Test , and then press OK . The fax diagnostic test print.

HOW TO FIX ERROR 41.3000

If is a fax problem try:

During a V.34 transmission, the local machine is unable to connect (handshake) with the remote machine and is consequently unable to send a T30 frame. This occurs when the line is disconnected or if line conditions degrade during the session.

Solutions
  • Remove any pass-through devices from the phone line, and then try the fax again.
  • Confirm that the fax/phone cable is no longer than required, and that it does not pass near unshielded electric motors such as fans, heaters, or household appliances.
  • Try to send the fax at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved.

Fax failing to send or

Hi there! The first thing you need to do is to check if you phone cable is inserted in the right port.There are two port for the fax.the first one is for the phone line and the second one is for additional phone.The second thing you can do is to change the cable with another one and try again.The last thing you can try is to connect a normal phone to that line and check for noise while moving the phone cable.If there is noise on the line,then you need to call a phone line tech. to check you cables.Please replay if you need any futher help!Thanky for using Fixya

Clean the terminals of the cartridge. use an eraser and gently rub the terminals until the gold terminals shine. Now try the cartridge.

if the problem still persist. then you can go for replacement of the cartridge from where you purchased it. The problem is pure technical and you deserve a replacement

Was able to scan before. Repaired xp pro os. now

You need to reinstall the software. The bes way is to disconnect the printer, then use scrubber.exe (you can find it on the driver cd) to clean the system from old and failed installation, and after that install the printer according to user manual (software first).
