I need to load paper

The 2840 can have an optional paper tray at the bottom of the printer.. perhaps that one is empty?
Otherwise, you place the paper on the open tray that drops down in front when you open it, and extend and adjust the guides.

My printer clj 2840 displayed error code 59.c0

This mean a main motor error occurred. X description: 0 = Motor error 1 = Motor start up error 2 = Motor rotation error

1. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 2. Check and reseat the fuser and toner cartridge to make sure they are not hindering gear movement in the drive train. 3. Check the main motor’s cable to ensure that it is seated properly. 4. If the error persists, replace the main motor.

My 2840 Printer:\r\nWhen starting the ready like

well there might be several things going on. Try to take out the fuser in the back, there are 2 blue locks. Wait a few minutes put it back and turn it on. If that doesn't work try an nvram (its a cold reset) Turn it off and press the ''enter'' and the '' * '' (where the numbers are) while holding down both keys turn it on and keep holding them until you get the message permanent storage init and then release wait to see if it get back to ready. You can also try to take all the supplies if possible if not at least the drum and reboot. Good luck

Orange exclamation point is blinking, screen says

I'm a tech on that printer. That's a generic message if one cartridge is at 0%. When one toner or drum reach 0 it wont print even though you don't use that supply. The unit should show the level on the screen, if one is empty replace it.

Cartridge carousel does not line

You need to teardown the unit to put it back in. I don't recommend that if you are not a tech. This issue can happen with the years when the bushings get worn or if the carousel was forced. Contact a service center or HP they can send a tech to your home for a fee

Yes there is, but the only way is with the hp software. Try to download the ''full solution software'' from the hp web site (its free), or maybe a 3rd party software like read-iris (not 100% sure with that one). Bad news if you are using 64 bit based windows because the software wont work. After you install the software you will have an option to save the file in a PDF so will be several pages in just one file. Try *.tiff files that can support several pages in one file. Good luck

HP 2840 color laserjet prints on the right side

this is a mechanical problem. The cartridges are held by a carousel (rotary assembly) with the years the bushings holding that part worn or it can get out of place if its forced (when replacing a cartridge). It can be fixed, but its better to get an authorized tech to do it since it can became complicated. Try to contact a service center or call HP they can send a tech on-site for a fee

Scanner Error 6 Turn off

Sorry but I have a bad news. Scanner error xx means that the scanner lamp is not able to move and if it does it cannot go all the way by either something blocking it or a gear worn. In some cases it does like a humming or clicking noise. The printer need service, probably a new scanner. You can try an NV RAM: Turn it off and press the ''enter'' and the '' * '' (where the numbers are) while holding down both keys turn it on and keep holding them until you get the message permanent storage init and then release wait to see if it get back to ready. The repair might be too complicated and expensive (over $250) I suggest to get a new one. HP can provide a deal to recycle the unit and give you a credit, maybe not a lot but its something.

My HP 2840 printer does not print -- it displays

I know this printer very well. The issue is that when a cartridge reach 0% (it doesn't matter which one) the unit will stop printing. So If you have the yellow at 0 even though you dont use it the unit will not work. I dont think is the carrousel, issues with that will normaly be like noise while moving or printing in one side or faded. If you hardly use color I would recommend a new one, the maintenance of a color laser unit is very high

Scanner Error 5 "error message" on my all in one

I had this problem and it had to do with the scan bulb head not recognising the marker. My temporary fix until the bulb is replaced is to turn the printer off, open the top (ADF and all) with the gray button on the right so that it's slightly raised and then switch the printer on. When it comes up, just close and print/scan/copy as usual. Apparently the spring in the arm warped the interior surface where the head moves and it can't line up when it's closed. Hope this helps.

I can't get my HP laserjet 2840 to turn back on

If none of the lights are on, not even for a flash , then either (if you're lucky) the power source has failed and must be replaced or (if you're really unlucky) the entire printer was fried and it's good for the skip.

Laserjet2840notscannier

If its not scanning from your computer it could be one of a couple of things, first take into consideration if you have changed the connection type. IE, from usb to network or vice versa. Something else to consider is if you have updated your antivirus. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

Hi. Try to uninstall/reisntall driver for your computer first. Use the USB connection just to test if printer is working without connecting to the router.

Hello, I have a problem with

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.
This can be caused by a number of things:

The fuser
The ETB
The toner cartridge
The firmware
The printer needs a cleaning
The slot in the printer
Incorrect Media

Try cleaning the printer, use a lint-free cloth for the ETB, DO NOT touch the belt with your fingers, the oil from fingers will often make things worse.
Always use a lint-free cloth, if you ever encounter dirt inside the printer, dampen the cloth.

Calibrate the printer. From the printer's control panel menu Configure Device-> Print Quality-> Calibrate now. (Press the Checkmark key to advance through menus)

To check if it’s fuser - just put a sheet of paper in the manual feeder in the front of the ITB drawer. Print a configuration page and when the back edge of the paper reaches the bottom of the feeder, open the back of the printer to stop the printing. Now open the ITB drawer and look at the unused sheet and see if the defects are present. If they are it is not the fuser. If the defects are gone, then it is the fuser.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee
