Whoa. You are so right. It is actually hundreds of thousands of tiny dots. You are not supposed to notice that, though unless you are sitting waaay too close to the screen or you have the worst cable connection ever. If you have checked all the connections and are sitting far enough away and it is still all dotty, then take that ****** right back and get a different one, no kidding.

Dear Jeff,It seems like the Horizontal IC in your TV is dying. This and the Vertical IC is responsible for displaying images on your TV. (Look at your TV through your Phone Camera and you will see upward scrolling lines.This is the Horizontal IC in action.)I would strongly advise you to get your TV repaired immediately.

Turn everything off and disconnect from mains.
Wait a few minutes.
Disconnect HDMI cable.
Turn on TV and DVD.
Connect cable.
If this does not work use a cable of different spec.
I had the same problem and now mine works .

have you told the ps3 you want it to work through the hdmi cable?? it wont automaticly do it

count how many times the light blinks. The blinking is a error code and the number of blinks helps identify which board is faulty let me know the number

1.You may have the magnet of a speaker too close to the TV.
2.Turn off other electrical devices in the house one at a time.
3.Faulty cable.

Try unplugging power cord for 10 sec. or for over night. That might be the trick. I did the same trick on a satillite receiver and a DVD player that got stuck like your tv is doing and it worked, doesn't hurt anything to do so. Hope this helps.

Since the set is only 8 months old, it should still be under warranty. This may only be an internal connection problem, but opening up the unit will void the warranty. I would suggest that you call for warranty service. This is a problem with the set and has nothing to do with external devices or interference.
