This fault is most likely caused by the plasma panel itself, which would be prohibitively to replace. I suggest contacting Panasonic service and tell them about your problem. I have known Panasonic to be very good in the past, often still helping out even when the item is out of warranty.

I was getting $350 "ballpark" quotes from Panasonic authorized TV repair shops. If none of this works for you, there are TV salvage companies who will pay you some cash and pick up TV from you. You can also sell it on craigslist for salvage parts or part it out separately. The various boards seem to cost around $100 each and you likely have four or five in your TV. At least for my TV, the parts don't seem to be out there, so there is a demand for the salvageable parts.

take the back off,there is a fuse in there,replace with SAME kind

The split is it along the vertical or horizontal? Cos either of this is bad or the flex connected to the screen.

Sounds like you need to replace the switch mode power supply board. You can find them cheap on ebay. Make sure you unplug the tv from the outlet and allow a day for the deadly capacitors to discharge completly before repalacing it. Regards, Joe Van Buren

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. isolate it to the TV, an input, or an input device. it might be just the tv audio config. hit menu on the remote and follow ur nose thru to the audio section - or RTFM.
