Panasonic VIERA TH-65PV500 65 in. Plasma Television - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Light green stripe down the middle ...
This fault is most likely caused by the plasma panel itself, which would be prohibitively to replace. I suggest contacting Panasonic service and tell them about your problem. I have known Panasonic to be very good in the past, often still helping out even when the item is out of warranty.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
My panasonic viera 50 inch plasma wont turn on.
I had the same problem with a Panasonic Viera Plasma TC-P50S3 with 14 flashes. I used an ohm meter to
checkcontinuity of the boards inside, starting with the power board (power to TV off).
Check YouTube for videos on how to do this. The SC card showed a fault (It was reading close to zero ohms on both pins. I could find no one who supplied SC boards and could only find repair kits. Repairing a circuit board is outside of my ability, time and tools. I found a place online to send the SC board in for repairs. $65 plus shipping. I was getting $350 "ballpark" quotes from Panasonic authorized TV repair shops. If none of this works for you, there are TV salvage companies who will
pay you some
cash and pick up TV from you. You can also sell it on craigslist for salvage parts or part it out separately. The various boards seem to cost around $100 each and you likely have four or five in your TV. At least for my TV, the parts don't seem to be out there, so there is a demand for the salvageable parts.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
