Hi Vinod, the lock light is not on. The motor and belt seem okay; it agitates. I think lock light is supposed to come on only when tub is full. Again my manual says nothing on this!!

sound as though the drain pump has something hitting the impeller making the clicking noise,and the filter basket next to the pump is blocked by debris and not letting it drain

try it on a spin cycle if it does not work then it could be your door interlock has failed

It ispossible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errorsdue to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main programcontroller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting fromthe flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit thewater at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then thevoltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to novoltage from the controller. This meansthe controller is a suspect. Remove power for sometime and try again.

Sounds as if you have something doen in the pump preventing it from draining and in doing so shutting the machine off as a safety action. I think you can actually access the pump from the rear of the machine. just unplug the machine, prepare to get wet, take the back of the machine off, take the lines off the pump and check for the blockage. Ok lets check some stuff. I don't like preaching about drains but this is where I start. With these Maytags it is harder but you need to pull that hose out and make sure it doesn't rest in water. Two in the past when your best man cleaned the machine out did he find alot of lint? If so reduce the cycle by choosing less than normal soil. We need to remember Maytag has put a restrictor in there pumps because of overflows at the drain so we must check often on this item. Another item that is bugging me is your timer, have you noticed a loud buzzing sound during operation from the timer or does it seem the machine is not spinning the way it should? Maytags are known for a good spin, let me check on recalls, drop me a note if you find anything new.

From what I have seen, that is normal. Even the machines at the laundromat have that. But if you would like peace of mind, you can contact Maytag's service support team.

remove 4 screws on the rear panel and then remove the cover, you can see the drain pump remove both hoses on the pump,it is probably plugged up,if it is they wont drain or do anything

You will need to remove the top of the machine and reach down to the door lock a release it manually.
