there is no gain with the processor. no full models stated, just the dv1000 (it has a full model and p/n stated on the service tag. also you cant switch from AMD to intel, or the reverse. (cpu swap) tell why you need more speed? To t do what, that the above , can't to? a SSD hdd is the only sure fix. for speed here. (vast ) for speed here. IMO computers can do millions of things (apps) name just one , that you use that fails, or runs too slows. thanks for any answers to simple questions.

WHAT OS? XP? learn to use the control panel. (more later) the special keys like this can fail for 3 reasons (get it serviced)?

click start. click control panel see sound? now click tab sounds in the top roller button , pick no sounds (bingo all sounds gone) error sounds and all or pick any sound seen there, and make it go dead, or change it to any thing, (endless, choices) even sound of silence. is possible like this , nosound.wav. or to pindrop.wav

I've ran into this issue a few times. It always turned out to be a hard drive failure causing it. Try replacing the hard drive with a spare if you have one, or remove the hard drive and connect it to a working computer to see if it can read it. The has only been one instance of this problem in which it turned out the hard drive was fine. The problem was actually the motherboard. It was an older laptop so it was cheaper to replace the whole thing instead of repairing it. I hope this helps!

I dont know exact model of your dv2000 hp laptop is, there is many versions of them (as an example HP Pavilion dv2401tu). Microphone drivers are part of the sound driver package. Suggest if you are running 7, go for the vista drivers. 7 32bit, vista 32bit drivers. 7 64bit, vista 64bit drivers. Windows update is another option for finding sound drivers for the microphone.

Stop what you are doing You have a virus. If you don't know what you are doing please take to a repair shop They will take care of it, you will still have your files intact. I work on laptops everyday, I've seen this program so many times.

it has a microphone , u must install proper driver from hp. and right click the little speaker icon ; click recording devices and make sure it is set as default and turn up the gain.

Laptop keyboards are slightly inexpensive and very easy to replace. These are not built to repair. You can pill the cover around the power button off, then you will see the keyboard assembly attached with 4 small screws, remove them. Push the keyboard forward slightly and it will pop out. Presto!

Hi This kind of depends what led to the problem, and some other factors such as operating system, physical state of the device, if you made any changes recently, etc, but you could check your device manager, or try reinstalling your device drivers, you could roll back to LKGC.
