Belkin F6D4230 router wireless light flashing orange. IS the router defective?
Solution:
Step 1:
Make sure the that router is connected to your modem with an ethernet cable via the router’s internet (WAN) port.
Step 2:
Unplug the modem from its power source and make sure that it's totally turned OFF. Then re-plug the modem to the power source.
Step 3:
Unplug your router’s power supply, wait for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will cause the router to reestablish communication with the modem.
If you still cannot browse the web, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Either get the original setup disc to do it or you have to get the IP address of your router and type it into a web browser on your computer. The login for your router to get into its interface may be on the bottom of your router or google the specific Belkin model to find it. Then you will have an area with your WiFi and guest WiFi info you can change.

Sounds like at some point and time that they did their jobs and took a power hit. Now because of that the batteries inside them are no longer able to do their jobs. You can try taking one of the units and have the battery changed out for a new one. Or if you are handy you can try it yourself. This is usually the problem and had been the problem on all of mine so far. Just bought a new battery for them and they were fine BUT this is based on MY experience alone. Grandkids should see SSID on their computer if it is being broadcast by your modem ( you probably have modem/ router) if they don't see SSID , your modem may have broadcast SSID set to off. If they can see it, have them enter your password. Passwords are case sensative .

couldn't hurt to try a new one, but be warned, different manufacturers cards can get different speeds depending on the router you are connecting to.
