I cant access wirless connection to my computer, there is wire conn ,but not wirless

Some later model wireless routers have the Password(ie.Encryption key) and the SSID already configured in the wireless router andthis information is printed on a label on the bottom of the router. These settings can be used to configure the wireless card and wireless adaptersin your computer/laptop. If these settings do not suit you, then it can be changed to suit yourrequirements. The encryption key secures your data and wireless connection from unauthorizedaccess. To configure the wireless settings in the router, connect a LAN cablefrom your computer to the wireless router, then open a Browser on your computerand enter the router's configuration IP address, then enter the admin login andpassword and then go to the wireless settings and configure the SSID andEncryption key.The router's encryption key can be a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA or WPA2key.If you use the Passphrase method select either WEP or WPA or WPA2 togenerate the encryption key. You can enter the WEP or WPA or WPA2 key with 8 to63 ASCII characters or 64 Hex digits. Most people use Passphrase which is easier to remember eg. I was born inJanuary 1988.The strongest and latest security is WPA2, the weakest and oldest is WEP. Toconnect to your wireless router from the computer/laptop, configure thewireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings ieSSID, plus the WPA or WPA2 encryption key. Then computer/laptops cancommunicate with your wireless router.http://www.fixya.com/support/r10267861-network_security_key

Can't connect i phone 4 to the router

1. In your iPhone, go to Settings>General>About. Then, scroll down to "Wi-Fi Address". This is your MAC address. This you will need in order to authorize your phone in your Netgear page (which usually looks something like ***.***.X.X (where "X" are numbers)).2. Log in to you Netgear page.3. On the blue left panel of the screen, click on "Wireless Settings". A new page comes up.4. Click on "Setup Access List".5. Click on "Add" to enter the require info needed for your phone to gain access to your network.6. On "Device Name" I entered "iPhone". This name is irrelevant for i named my iPhone differently and using just "iPhone" worked. So enter whatever name you wish, but keep it simple.7. Now, on "Mac Address" (the single most important info here) enter the number you obtained in Step 1. Make sure you enter it with the colons (:).8. Add and apply, and wait for the blue bar at the top of the screen to do its thing. It will take only a few seconds to update the network. That's all! Connect and enjoy!

Get password

Hello. Do you need the wireless password or the router login password? If you need wireless password(security key like WEP or WPA) or you would like to setup wireless security for your Netgear router, access the router setup page by typing http://192.168.0.1) in the address field of your browser and then press Enter. Enter admin for the router user name and your password (or the default, password).

This image is a sample of the login window to access the router's setup page.11_27_2011_10_31_55_pm.png

After logging in. Look at the main menu on the left, click on Wireless Settings, from there you can check the Wireless Key(usually indicated as "passphrase") or you can setup wireless security from there if you haven't done so.

This image is the router's setup page and this is where you can configure the router and check some settings like Wireless security or password.11_27_2011_10_32_48_pm.jpg

**If by chance you are unable to access the router's login or setup page by using the default username &password(admin, password) and you totally have forgotten it, you need to reset the router to factory or default settings then you have to setup the router again. **To reset the router to default settings:

1. Unplug all the cables attached to it except the power cord. - Make sure the router is plugged into the power outlet, then hold down the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds using a paper clip or a pen. You should see the lights flicker momentarily on the front panel of the router.

2. Once the lights are stable, connect 1 computer or laptop directly to the back of the router(Ethernet/LAN ports usually they are labelled by numbers and have the same color, just pick one). If you pick number 1, check the corresponding light indicator at the front panel of the router, make sure light 1 is also lit up if not choose another port at the back of the router.3. Setup and configure the router again.

~~Hope this helps~~

Can't access ebay

- I suggest you first clear browsing history. Clearing browsing history varies from the browser you are using:If you are using Internet Explorer (go to Tools>Delete Browsing History)For Firefox( click on the Firefox tab> History>Clear Recent History)- Restart the browser and try to access ebay again. If you can access other websites(google.com, yahoo.com, etc) but not ebay try to flush dns. Flushing dns will make the system recheck and refresh the DNS cache on your computer.- Since the computer keeps address's of the websites you visit, it remembers the route and IP address of a specific website, if that changes and your computer still goes to the old route that's when you get a problem with opening the website, so the way to refresh your computer's DNS is to clear DNS cache.1. Go to Start then type CMD on the search box. 2. When the black screen appears(command prompt), type in ipconfig /flushdns then press Enter on the keyboard.Restart your browser then try to access ebay.

I have just bought anew laptop cant get onto

  • If your are trying to connect via wireless from your laptop to the Netgear router, most likely it's requiring you to input the wireless security key(usually it's WEP or WPA encryption).
  • Access the router's setup page by typing http://www.routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 in the address field of your browser(IE or Chrome). On the login use the default username and password(admin, password).
11_25_2011_1_21_04_pm.png
  • After logging in. Look at the main menu on the left, click on Wireless Settings, from there you can check the Wireless Key. If the wireless security is set to WEP, use the available Key code but If it's WPA, what you need is the passphrase.
11_25_2011_1_26_22_pm.jpgType the Key or Passphrase on your wireless laptop and it should connect to the router.
