Tascam 2488 neo mmc control

That seems to be in the midi time sync functions. In cakewalk under options find the midi settings and choose midi device. All of you clock and sync settings should be there. Also I think under the audio menu there are settings for folders and I think a tab for sync is there as well. I use Sonar, which is an upgrade of cakewalk but used cakewalk for a long time. I have it on another computer and will look later to see if I am forgetting something or remembered it wrong and let you know.

If I plug in powered monitors to the digital input... will it get rid of my error code 02 displayed on the screen ?

Never go from a PA (powered (amplified)) speaker signal to the inputs of a recording device. This can severely damage the electronics of the input/preamp. That error code may be getting caused by something else. For more details on how to use digital ins:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S/PDIF

Every time I try to Export a mastered track it

Several of my music programs seem to have a limit of around 2Gb for a track... this is inspite of having plenty of disk space... this seems to be a limit set by the program rather than the resources available.

Peavey cs1000 x

The most likely case is that one of the main output transistors (if which there are many) is shorted. When the protect circuit senses DC on the final output, it will not allow the output relay to come on to protect the speakers from raw DC. With the power removed, you can check between each outputs Emitter and Collector and you will probably find close to zero ohms. From that point you need to unsolder each of the pins of the bad channel until you find the shorted device(s) and replace them.
