Not printing out on paper. it comes out clear. Ink cartridges are all full, have done a clean. don't know what else to do

If after all you do, reinstall drivers, clean, etc. unit still does not print, then your problem may lie with the print head which on Canon printers is NOT part of the cartridge. If cartridges have been filled that may be causing the issue and there could be a work around for it posted on Google. Printer outfits do not want you to get your own ink.

Printer is ccted to wifi. so is laptop. when I go to print it just says getting printer information. how do I connect

Unplug and shut off all devices, restart and see if connection is made. Was the driver disc installed in laptop for this printer? Might have to create a new wifi network if communications are not being made.

My printer will not respond to my computer. How do I fix it?

Go to the canon website and download the proper driver. You must also download the wireless connection software. If you google "Canon Pixma MG220", the first item will be the link you need. You also download the manual. Good Luck

Could an aftermarket ink cause a malfunction in a MG5220

No. Aftermarket ink should cause no actual problems with your printer. The printer may not sense that the ink cartridge is full, but that's a minor thing to put up with considering the ink savings. Also, aftermarket ink DOES NOT void factory warrenties.

I was using my Canon MG5220 printer and it turned off by itself nothing that I tried worked it doesn't turn on cable is Ok a/c converter is Ok

Bad news - either the main-board is toast or the gear train has got out of sync. A good service tech might be able to fix it, but it is unlikely to be salvageable. It is also possible that the print-head has cooked, but they are usually more expensive the just replacing the machine.

Printer turned off and does not turn on again

Are you plugging directly into the wall or a power strip? Can you plug something else into that exact port to verify that it's still getting power at that spot? If it is I would still attempt to plug it into another port to see if that helps. I know it sounds silly but this is the simplest place to start. Do you have a voltmeter? I would check the output of the power supply itself to make sure the correct amps and voltage are still coming out of it.

HOW TO CHANGE INK CARTRDES IN CANON MG5220

The is covered completely in the Owners Manual. I suggest you download the manual from the Canon support website to have as a reference in the future.Steps:1. Open the front paper tray door.2. Lift the entire top of the printer until it is as high as it will go and locks the brace in place. The ink cartridge carriage will move to the center of the printer. The cartridge needing changing will have a light blinking to indicate it.3. Push in the back tab on the cartridge and lift it out.4. Remove the new cartridge (be sure it\'s the right color) from the packaging, remove the plastic clip that protects the ink feed aperature.5. Push the cartridge into the slit in the carriage and press down on the end closest to you to lock the tab in place.6. Lift up on the printer top and push the bottom of the brace away from you to unlock it and then lower the lid. 7. the printer will then go through several cycles to realign the cartridges and verify the new one is feeding properly.8. If more than one cartridge goes dry at the same time, repeat steps 3-5 for all cartridges before lowering the lid.Good luck!
