I am getting picture but not sound? inspite of re

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this right click to install driver also click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps don

My pc doesn't power on..power supply was verified

Unplug everything except the motherboard, power supply, Ram and video card if it is not on board and try it. Sometime a HARD DRIVE or CD-ROM can lock up a motherboard if it works then plug in one piece at a time till you find the problem.Bad Ram can do it to and a loose video card.

Hard disk not detecting sometime??????????????

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps don

No sound comes

Make sure motherboard audio jumper is correctly fixed and the driver are installed. If the driver is installed correctly you can see a volume control icon on the system tray right side of the task bar.
In this jumper 5-6 and 9-10 should be shorted to get the output from back panel.mbdguru.jpg

My ports and my on

Go to Device manager By following this steps
  1. On the desktop right-click on My Computer and click Properties or open the Control Panel and double-click the System icon.
  2. In the System Properties window click the Hardware tab.
  3. In the Hardware tab click the Device Manager button.
Then on left side Search for Yellow question mark on Ethernet controller if it occurs than the problem is that you have to reinstall your LAN drivers which can be Downloaded here
And If there is no Yellow Question Mark then you have to bring a LAN card and insert in PCI Express Slot.

P4m266-8233 sound driver problem pl

hello vvs_shana490

my name is ausi

*********** board is made by esc. the only driver they list is the s3 video.

have a look at the following web site from the link below. there are some aopen audio drivers listed for the same via chip set as yours. hopefully that fixes your problem.

http://downloadnew.org/software/P4m266-8233/

the alternative is to disable the onboard audio from the bios and install a separate sound card. they are available for around $15-20.00.

if you find this useful please vote for me.
